The paper presents a new view of quality evaluation of a system of electronic data exchange between a business and government. A method for evaluation of the electronic data exchange system between a business and state authorities is presented in the paper. The method is called CBG (Communication between Business and Government). A goal of the CBG method is to evaluate the system of electronic data exchange between a business and state authorities, not only to evaluate applications such as an electronic data box or an electronic submission of tax. A pilot version of the CBG method provides a tool to evaluate and measure important attributes of the electronic data exchange system between businesses and state authoritiesElectronic data exchange, state authority, evaluation of quality, attribute, method, Research and Development/Tech Change/Emerging Technologies, GA, IN,

1-octadecene monolayers on Si(111) hydrogen-terminated surfaces: effects of substrate doping

We have studied the electronic properties, in relation to their structural properties, of monolayers of 1-octadecene attached on a hydrogen-terminated (111) silicon surface. The molecules are attached using the free-radical reaction between C=C and Si-H activated by an ultraviolet illumination. We have compared the structural and electrical properties of monolayers formed on silicon substrate of different types (n-type and p-type) and different doping concentrations from low-doped (~1E14 cm-3) to highly doped (~1E19 cm-3) silicon substrates. We show that the monolayers on n-, p- and p+ silicon are densely packed and that they act as very good insulating films at a nanometer thickness with leakage currents as low as ~1E-7 A.cm-2 and high quality capacitance-voltage characteristics. The monolayers formed on n+-type silicon are more disordered and therefore exhibit larger leakage current densities (>1E-4 A.cm-2) when embedded in a silicon/monolayer/metal junction. The inferior structural and electronic properties obtained with n+-type silicon pinpoint the important role of surface potential and of the position of the surface Fermi level during the chemisorption of the organic monolayers. Dále návrh a pevnostní kontrola čelních ozubených kol. Následně návrh a statická kontrola hřídele. Bakalářské práce obsahuje jako přílohy výkres sestavy zařízení, kusovník sestavy zařízení, výkres sestavy převodovky, kusovník sestavy převodovky a výrobní výkres hřídele. This bachelor thesis deals with the design of device for dumping of a container. At the beginning of this paper, a market survey is presented showing similar devices for dumping of a container. Lever mechanism is manually operated by spur gears and is designed on the basis of the development principles. First, the design and strength control of the lever mechanism is carried out. Further the design and strength control of spur gears is given. Finally, the design and static shaft control are presented. Attached to this thesis there is a drawing of the device assembly, individual parts of the device assembly, a drawing of the gearbox assembly, individual parts of the gearbox assembly and the production drawing of the shaft.347 - Katedra částí a mechanismů strojůvýborn

The testator\u27s will contained a bequest of $10,000 to executors to be held in trust by them and paid out to such corporations or associations of individuals as will in their judgment best promote the cause of preventing cruelty to animals in the vicinity of Asheville. A state statute provided that no charitable trust should be declared invalid by reason of any indefiniteness or uncertainty of the object or beneficiaries of the trust or because the trustee is given discretionary power in the selection and designation of the objects or beneficiaries of the trust or in carrying out the purpose thereof. Held, that the trust is void for indefiniteness of purpose and the statute does not purport to cure that defect. Woodcock v. Wachovia Bank & Trust Co., 214 N. C. 224, 199 S. E. 20 (1938)

In the recent case of United States Lines, Inc. v. United States Lines Co. the plaintiff was a minority stockholder in United States Lines, Inc., whose only asset was a minority stock interest in the United States Lines Company. A majority of the stock in both companies was owned by the International Mercantile Marine Company. An action originally brought by the United States Lines, Inc., but settled out of court, was sought to be continued by the plaintiff, who alleged: (1) that the Marine Company and its subsidiaries had entered into fraudulent contracts with the United States Lines Company and had made excessive charges, amounting to several million dollars, payable to the Marine Company and its subsidiaries; (2) that a settlement was approved by the majority (consisting of shares owned by the Marine Company) of United States Lines, Inc., whereby the suit was to be dismissed and the shareholders of United States Lines, Inc. were given the option of trading their shares for junior preferred stock of United States Lines Company; (3) that the expense was to be borne by the Marine Company and it was to pay the debts of United States Lines, Inc., amounting to about $40,000. The court held that the plaintiff might continue the derivative action because it did not clearly appear that the settlement was advantageous to the corporation and its stockholders
