The Impact of Digital Transformation on Customer Satisfaction to Digital Banking Service of Commercial Banks in Vietnam

    Get PDF
The present study focuses on examining the interplay and correlation between the digital transformation process as assessed by the digital banking service quality components (Ease of use, Effectiveness, Interoperability, Privacy/ Security, Empathy, Responsiveness, Reliability, Service portfolios, Service charge) and customer satisfaction for digital banking services at commercial banks in Vietnam. The predictors (independent variables) for this study are the aforementioned service quality aspects and moderator is Service charge. The outcome variable (dependent variable) is customer satisfaction. The authors combined qualitative and quantitative research techniques to develop observed variables and assess the model's fit. This study can help banking leaders evaluate and improve the quality of digital banking services in the context of financial liberalization and globalization. BACKGROUND: Cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in Vietnam. We conducted a pilot study of Hanoi residents hospitalized with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) at the Vietnam National Heart Institute in Hanoi. The objectives of this observational study were to examine sex differences in clinical characteristics, hospital management, in-hospital clinical complications, and mortality in patients hospitalized with an initial AMI. METHODS: The study population consisted of 302 Hanoi residents hospitalized with a first AMI at the largest tertiary care medical center in Hanoi in 2010. RESULTS: The average age of study patients was 66 years and one third were women. Women were older (70 vs. 64 years) and were more likely than men to have had hyperlipidemia previously diagnosed (10% vs. 2%). During hospitalization, women were less likely to have undergone percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) compared with men (57% vs. 74%), and women were more likely to have developed heart failure compared with men (19% vs. 10%). Women experienced higher in-hospital case-fatality rates (CFRs) than men (13% vs. 4%) and these differences were attenuated after adjustment for age and history of hyperlipidemia (OR: 2.64; 95% CI: 1.01, 6.89), and receipt of PCI during hospitalization (OR: 2.09; 95% CI: 0.77, 5.09). CONCLUSIONS: Our pilot data suggest that among patients hospitalized with a first AMI in Hanoi, women experienced higher in-hospital CFRs than men. Full-scale surveillance of all Hanoi residents hospitalized with AMI at all Hanoi medical centers is needed to confirm these findings. More targeted and timely educational and treatment approaches for women appear warranted

Clinical Characteristics and Histopathology of Idiopathic Epiretinal Membrane in Vietnam

BACKGROUND: Idiopathic epiretinal membrane (iERM) is an avascular proliferation of different types of cells between the posterior vitreous cortex and the internal limiting membrane. That causes visual impairment including blurry, distortion, scotoma. Many studies of iERM were done to describe the clinical characteristics and investigate the histopathology of this disease. Nonetheless, there has not been a study of iERM histopathology in Vietnam. AIMS: To describe clinical characteristics and histopathological results of idiopathic retinal membrane and the association between them. METHODS: A cross sectional decriptive study of 35 iERMs (33 patients) in Vietnam National Institute of Ophthalmology (VNIO). RESULTS: High morbidity incidence was in group age >50 years (32/35), female gender (26/35), limited movement works (27/35), and high educational levels (28/35). Distortion was the highest (77.14%), scotoma and floater was less frequent (28.5%, 45.7%). Macular edema in all cases and PVD and exudate were high frequent (65.7%, 62.8%). Symptom duration was 8.2 ± 4.7 months, (1-21 months). Mean of central macular thickness was 468.51 ± 97.24 µm (656-274 µm). Six types of cell were detected, including glial cell (35/35), fibroblast (23/35), myofibroblast (23/35), macrophage (13/35), lymphocyte (5/35) and neutrophil (2/35). The number of cell types in one sample ranged from 1-5 types (2.85 ± 1.28 cell types). Number of cell types were correlated to symptom duration (r = 0.47, p = 0.004, Pearson's test) and central macular thickness (r = 0.72, p < 0.001, Pearson's test). CONCLUSION: There were 6 types of cells in iERM. Glial cell was the most frequent cell, inflammatory cells (macrophage, lymphocyte, neutrophil) was also detected. The number of cell types was stastitically correlated to symptom duration and CMT

Access to homebuyer credit and housing satisfaction among households buying affordable apartments in urban Vietnam

This study examines the relationship between the access to homebuyer credits and housing satisfaction among those buying affordable apartments, using a sample of 1,000 respondents from our own survey in 2016 in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh Cities. Our regression analysis reveals the education level, the size and value of apartments are closely linked with the access to preferential homebuyer credits. Notably, we find that the access to preferencial home loans has a strongly positive impact on housing satisfaction, after controlling for all other factos in the model. Thus, the finding confirms that preferencial home loan programs play an important role in helping low income households own affordable apartments and increase their housing satisfation. We also find that some other features of their apartments, such as the number of bath rooms and balconies, the distance from the apartment building to schoosl, bus stations and markets, are strongly linked with housing satisfaction

Optimal Efficiency Control of Synchronous Reluctance Motors-based ANN Considering Cross Magnetic Saturation and Iron Loss

This paper presents a new idea by using the Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) for estimating the parameters of the machine which achieving the maximum efficiency of the Synchronous Reluctance Motor (SynRM). This model take into consideration the magnetic saturation, cross-coupling and iron loss. With Finite Element Analysis (FEA), the characteristics of the SynRM including inductances and iron loss resistance are determined. Because of the non-linear characteristics, an ANN trained off-line, is then proposed to obtain the d-q inductances and iron loss resistance from Id,Iq currents and the speed. After learning process, an analytical expression of the optimal currents is given thanks to Lagrange optimization. Therefore, the optimal currents will be obtained online in real time. This method can be achieved with maximum efficiency and high-precision torque control. Simulation and experimental results are presented to confirm the validity of the proposed method
