現代の社会保障の大きな課題のひとつは，累積的排除を食い止めることである。安定的な住まいや就労等の複合的な支援を必要とする生活困窮者支援のあり方をめぐって伴走型支援が注目されている。伴走型支援は，現代の社会保障に「人格保障」が欠けていることを指摘しているのではないか。つまり，現金給付や現物給付等の支援だけでなく，被支援者につながり続ける「誰か」・人物が求められている。「人格保障」は応答する身体として関わり合う対人関係ないし人格間関係を営むなかで，（相互）人格保障として実現される。伴走型支援の基礎は（相互）人格保障にあると捉えられる。Companionate support is attracting attention with regard to stable housing, employment, and other forms of support for the needy. It highlights the lack of “personality security” in contemporary social security. In other words, people not only require support such as cash or in-kind transfers, but also “someone” with whom they can stay connected. “Personality security” is realized as (mutual-) personality security in the context of interpersonal relationship in which people interact with each other as responsive bodies. One of the major challenges for contemporary social security is blocking the cumulative exclusion. Companionate support is a new support method serving this purpose.
