The Utilization of Heat Exchangers for Energy Conservation in Air Conditioning
This paper investigates the characteristics of heat exchanger (HPHE) as an efficient
coolness recovery unit in air conditioning through experimental studies. It was conducted
under a multiple-nozzle code tester based on the ASHRAE standards. The wind tunnel
was subjected to airflow with considerable variation in its inlet air temperature. Among
the factors being investigated are the air velocity, inlet and outlet air temperatures,
overall efficiency and the number of rows in longitudinal direction. The data obtained
were compared with the results predicted by previous theoretical studies. Good agreement
was observed
Apply Information System of Maritime Energy for Improving Performance in Taiwan’s Coast Guard
Taiwan is not a member of the International Maritime Organization country, and the domestic business is also a multi-horse carriage. There is no integration and a single government department is responsible. Therefore, it is relatively difficult to check the relevant statistical inquiries, and the definition objects are also different. The information must be subject to the announcement of the International Maritime Organization. However, the data may be subject to statistical errors due to the construction of errors and omissions. The motivation of this paper is to roughly guess Coast Guard’s information system and maritime energy to discuss how to improve the work performance. Materials use and cost estimates are resolved for both developmental and implementation activities. In addition, enhanced services costs are resolved to with total and average costs of standard EAP services. These findings provide point of reference cost estimates for other EAPs that may be considering offering enhanced services

Near tip strain evolution of a growing fatigue crack
Near tip full-field strains in a growing fatigue crack have been studied in situ using the Digital Image
Correlation (DIC) technique in a compact tension specimen of stainless steel 316L under tension-tension cyclic
loading. An error analysis of displacements and strains has been carried out, and the results show that the
precision of displacements and strains in the wake of the crack is worse than that in front of the crack. A
method for the determination of crack tip location is proposed for the DIC analysis. Strain ratchetting is
observed ahead of the growing fatigue crack tip and found to be dependent on the distance to the crack tip;
whilst normal strains appear to stabilise behind the crack tip
