A Difference in Professional Ability that Young Teachers Feel from Skilled Teachers through Lesson Study -Basic Investigation Toward Development of a System that Supports Young Teachers for Enhancement of Professional Ability-

教師の職能の成長は今も昔も変わらず国の重要な課題の1つとなっている。これまで教師の職能成長に重要な役割を果たしてきたものの1つが授業研究であると言えるが、近年は教師の多忙さなどの理由で実施されにくくなっているのが現状である。このことから、筆者らは空間的・時間的制約を部分的に解消可能なネットワークを活用したWebベースの授業研究支援「eLESSER」プログラムを開発・実施した。2005年度に実施したこのプログラムには4人の教師が参加した。このうち2人は教師経験15年以上の熟練教師であり、プログラムのプロセスで授業設計、実施、授業についての議論を行った。残りの2人は教師経験10年未満の若手教師で、2人の熟練教師による活動をWeb上で観察した。本稿では、このeLESSERプログラムを通して若手教師が感じた熟練教師との職能差について調査・分析した結果について報告し、若手教師の職能成長を支援するシステム開発への指針を示す

Molecular Characterization of a Prophage of Salmonella enterica Serotype Typhimurium DT104

Isolates of the Salmonella enterica serotype Typhimurium definitive phage type (DT104) were found to contain the same prophage (designated phage ST104). The complete sequence of the DNA genome of prophage ST104 was determined. A new β-carbonic anhydrase from Brucella suis, its cloning, characterization, and inhibition with sulfonamides and sulfamates, leading to impaired pathogen growth

International audienceA β-carbonic anhydrase (CA, EC 4.2.1.1) from the bacterial pathogen Brucella suis, bsCA II, has been cloned, purified, and characterized kinetically. bsCA II showed high catalytic activity for the hydration of CO(2) to bicarbonate, with a k(cat) of 1.1×10(6), and k(cat)/K(m) of 8.9×10(7)M(-1)s(-1). A panel of sulfonamides and sulfamates have been investigated for inhibition of this enzyme. All types of activities, from the low nanomolar to the micromolar, have been detected for these derivatives, which showed inhibition constants in the range of 7.3nM-8.56μM. The best bsCA II inhibitors were some glycosylated sulfanilamides, aliphatic sulfamates, and halogenated sulfanilamides, with inhibition constants of 7.3-87nM. Some of these dual inhibitors of bsCA I and II, also inhibited bacterial growth in vitro, in liquid cultures. These promising data on live bacteria allow us to propose bacterial β-CA inhibition as an approach for obtaining anti-infective agents with a new mechanism of action compared to classical antibiotics
