Uchwycenie autentyczności miasta gwarantuje właściwy sposób jego zarządzania, zarówno od strony zabiegów konserwatorskich, jak i planowanych działań architektonicznych oraz urbanistycznych. W artykule przeanalizowano warunki oraz poziomy, na których manifestuje się autentyczność miasta a także poddano identyfikacji sposoby na jakie owa manifestacja jest wyrażona. Authenticity of architectonic heritage in the perspective of tradition continuation

Tradycja, jako wielopokoleniowa platforma funkcjonowania jednostek ludzkich na danym obszarze, konstytuuje lokalne dziedzictwo kulturowe. Tym samym zachowanie tradycji w procesie ochrony owego dziedzictwa gwarantuje kontynuację przekazu najistotniejszych informacji przyszłym pokoleniom. W niniejszym artykule poddano analizie krytycznej ujmowanie tradycji i historyczności w perspektywie zachowania autentyczności przekazu dziedzictwa kulturowego. Jednocześnie omówiono problemy ochrony historycznych obiektów architektonicznych oraz urbanistycznych w aspekcie kontynuacji tradycji na przykładzie osady Al Gourna, znajdującej się na lewym nabrzeżu miasta Luksor w Egipcie, planów rekonstrukcji alei sfinksów łączącej świątynie w Luksorze i Karnaku oraz prac rewaloryzacyjnych w La Habana Vieja, najstarszej dzielnicy Hawany.Tradition as a multi-generation platform on which individuals function within a given area, constitutes local cultural heritage. Thus, preserving traditions in the process of protecting that heritage guarantees the continuation of passing vital information to the future generations. This article involves critical analysis of traditions and historicity as seen from the perspective of preserving the authenticity of cultural heritage. At the same time, problems related to the protection of historic architectonic and urban objects have been discussed here in their aspect of tradition continuation, on the example of the Al Gourna settlement, located on the left bank of the city of Luxor in Egypt, plans for the reconstruction of the avenue of the sphinxes linking the temples in Luxor and Karnak, and revalorisation work in La Habana Vieja, the oldest district of Havana

The application of the resistography for examination of the scope of wood tissue degradation in cross-sections of polychrome elements of wooden historic building in order to optimize the area of polychrome transfer (case study of orthodox church in Miękisz Stary)

Badania rezystograficzne to wysoce efektywna metoda określania stanu zachowania tkanki drzewnej w przekrojach elementów drewnianych konstrukcji historycznych. W niniejszym artykule prześledzono możliwości zastosowania tej techniki do analizy stopnia i zasięgu degradacji polichromowanych elementów konstrukcyjnych, a tym samym do optymalizacji zakresu transferu polichromii na nowe podłoże w obszarze elementów przewidzianych do całkowitej lub częściowej wymiany. Omówione badania zostały przeprowadzone na elementach konstrukcyjnych cerkwi w Miękiszu Starym, a ich wyniki zamieszczono w postaci odpowiednich wykresów.The resistographic analysis (measurements) is a highly effective method of determining the condition status of wood tissue in cross-sections of the elements of historical wooden structures. This paper examines the possibility of applying this technique in analysis of the degree and extent of degradation of the polychrome structural elements and thus in optimization of the scope of polychrome transfer to the new base from the elements intended for the whole or partial replacement. The discussed studies have been carried out on the structural elements of the church in Miękisz Stary, and their results are given in the form of appropriate charts
