Responsible Conduct of Research Policy

As an institution of higher education involved in research activities, Campbell University (CU) is accountable to the research and university communities to ensure the ethical and safe conduct of research. Federal statutes and policies, including Section 7009 of the American COMPETES ACT of 2007 for National Science Foundation, The Responsible and Ethical Conduct of Research at the USDA and NOT-OD-10-019 and NOT-OD-22-055 for National Institute of Health require funded grants to provide mentoring and training in the RCR

Investment Policy

The purpose of this Investment Policy Statement (“IPS”) is to establish guidelines for the ongoing oversight and management of Campbell University’s Managed Funds (the “Fund”), focusing on areas that most influence investment returns and risks. The Funds are operated for the benefit of the university and its communities of interest and include both endowed and non-endowed funds. This IPS incorporates accountability standards that will be used for monitoring the Fund’s investment program and evaluating the contributions of the Discretionary Investment Adviser (the “Adviser”)

Policy on Political Activity & Signage

The purpose of this policy is to specify permitted use and restrictions (as defined herein) of University facilities and resources for politically related activity on campus by students and employees. The University supports campus-based activities and programs that enhance the individual capacity of faculty, staff, and students to fulfill their rights. However, violation of Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) regulations could have serious ramifications for the University, including revocation of the University’s tax-exempt status. This policy also outlines restrictions on the placement of political signage under North Carolina state law

Export Control Policy

The purpose of the Export Control Policy (“Policy”) is to facilitate compliance with all Export Control Laws; establish procedures for complying with Export Control Laws; and educate the University community on such laws, policies, and procedures. This Policy establishes, documents, and implements procedures to ensure the University, and its employees and students, remain in full compliance with Export Control Laws. This Policy requires actively managing and monitoring compliance with Export Control Laws and authorizes the creation of procedures to administer major university functions related to export compliance

Open Vacation Policy for Coaching Staff

In recognition of the unique position and schedule of the Coaching Staff of the University Athletics Department, the University will implement an Open Vacation Policy for all Coaching Staff. This policy will ensure that the Coaching Staff will live a well-balanced life and be able to take time off for rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. All Coaching Staff are eligible for open vacation under this policy
