The light pseudoscalar Higgs boson in NMSSM
We study the associated production of a very light pseudoscalar Higgs boson
with a pair of charginos. The novel signature involves a pair of charged
leptons from chargino decays and a pair of photons from the pseudoscalar Higgs
boson decay, plus large missing energy at the LHC and ILC. The signal may help
us to distinguish the NMSSM from MSSM, provided that the experiment can resolve
the two photons from the decay of the pseudoscalar Higgs boson.Comment: pages, 2 figures; to appear in Proceedings of SUSY06, the 14th

A Novel Shortcut Addition Algorithm With Particle Swarm for Multisink Internet of Things
[EN] The Internet of Things integrates a large number of distributed nodes to collect or transmit data. When the network scale increases, individuals use multiple sink nodes to construct the network. This increases the complexity of the network and leads to significant challenges in terms of the existing methods with respect to the aspect of data forwarding and collection. In order to address the issue, this paper proposes a Shortcut Addition strategy based on the Particle Swarm algorithm (SAPS) for multisink network. It constructs a network topology with multiple sinks based on a small-world network. In the SAPS, we create a fitness function by combining the average path length and load of the sink node, to evaluate the quality of a particle. Subsequently, crossover and mutation are used to update the particles to determine the optimal solution. The simulation results indicate that the SAPS is superior both to the greedy model with small world and the load-balanced multigateway aware long link addition strategy in terms of the average path length, load balance, and number of added shortcuts. This work was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China under Grant 61672131 and Grant 61702365. Analyzing the prices of the most expensive sheet iron all over the world: Modeling, prediction and regime change
The private car license plates issued in Shanghai are bestowed the title of
"the most expensive sheet iron all over the world", more expensive than gold. A
citizen has to bid in an monthly auction to obtain a license plate for his new
private car. We perform statistical analysis to investigate the influence of
the minimal price of the bidding winners, the quota
of private car license plates, the number of bidders, as well
as two external shocks including the legality debate of the auction in 2004 and
the auction regime reform in January 2008 on the average price
of all bidding winners. It is found that the legality debate of the auction had
marginal transient impact on the average price in a short time period. In
contrast, the change of the auction rules has significant permanent influence
on the average price, which reduces the price by about 3020 yuan Renminbi. It
means that the average price exhibits nonlinear behaviors with a regime change.
The evolution of the average price is independent of the number
of bidders in both regimes. In the early regime before
January 2008, the average price was influenced only by the
minimal price in the preceding month with a positive correlation. In
the current regime since January 2008, the average price is positively
correlated with the minimal price and the quota in the preceding month and
negatively correlated with the quota in the same month. We test the predictive
power of the two models using 2-year and 3-year moving windows and find that
the latter outperforms the former. It seems that the auction market becomes
more efficient after the auction reform since the prediction error increases.Comment: 10 pages including 5 figures and 4 table
Exploring Boarding Strategies for High-Speed Railway
In light of the increasing demand for passenger transportation on high-speed railway (HSR), the pedestrian flow at HSR stations has become quite crowded in many countries, which has attracted researchers to study the HSR boarding behavior. In this paper, we propose three boarding strategies based on the features of the boarding behavior at an origin HSR station; we then use a cellular automaton (CA) model to study the impacts of boarding strategies on each passenger’s motion during the boarding process at HSR station. The simulation results indicate that some of the three strategies can optimize some passengers’ boarding time and relieve the congestion degree, and the positive impacts on the boarding process are the most prominent when the three strategies are used simultaneously. The results can help administrators to effectively organize the boarding process at the origin HSR station
The Traditional Chinese Medicine and Relevant Treatment for the Efficacy and Safety of Atopic Dermatitis: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials
Background. Atopic dermatitis (AD) has become a common skin disease that requires systematic and comprehensive treatment to achieve adequate clinical control. Traditional Chinese medicines and related treatments have shown clinical effects for AD in many studies. But the systematic reviews and meta-analyses for them are lacking. Objective. The systematic review and meta-analysis based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement were conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicines and related treatments for AD treatment. Methods. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were searched based on standardized searching rules in eight medical databases from the inception up to December 2016 and a total of 24 articles with 1,618 patients were enrolled in this meta-analysis. Results. The results revealed that traditional Chinese medicines and related treatments did not show statistical differences in clinical effectiveness, SCORAD amelioration, and SSRI amelioration for AD treatment compared with control group. However, EASI amelioration of traditional Chinese medicines and related treatments for AD was superior to control group. Conclusion. We need to make conclusion cautiously for the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine and related treatment on AD therapy. More standard, multicenter, double-blind randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of traditional Chinese medicine and related treatment for AD were required to be conducted for more clinical evidences providing in the future
