On the connectivity of p-diamond-free vertex transitive graphs
AbstractLet G be a graph of order n(G), minimum degree δ(G) and connectivity κ(G). We call the graph G maximally connected when κ(G)=δ(G). The graph G is said to be superconnected if every minimum vertex cut isolates a vertex. For an integer p≥1, we define a p-diamond as the graph with p+2 vertices, where two adjacent vertices have exactly p common neighbors, and the graph contains no further edges. Usually, the 1-diamond is triangle and the 2-diamond is diamond. We call a graph p-diamond-free if it contains no p-diamond as a (not necessarily induced) subgraph. A graph is vertex transitive if its automorphism group acts transitively on its vertex set.In this paper, we give some sufficient conditions for vertex transitive graphs to be maximally connected. In addition, superconnected p-diamond-free (1≤p≤3) vertex transitive graphs are characterized
Dynamics of Quincke Particles with Tunable Memory
Memory can remarkably modify the collective behaviors of active particles. In
Quincke systems driven by electric fields, the memory of particles, in the form
of relaxation of polarization, has been taken to account for the run-and-tumble
behaviors under periodical driving. However, we show that the memory of Quincke
particles is generally a product of multiple mechanisms including inertia and
depolarization. The memory of Quincke particles can be tuned and enhanced by
the parameters of electric fields. Moreover, the interplay between inertia and
propulsion results in a frequency-dependent mobility such that a balance
between activity and attraction can be reached, giving rise to the formation of
dense active clusters. The memory in dense clusters becomes even more
significant because of the strong electrostatic interactions. Combining the
tunable memory and the adjustable mobility, a rich variety of collective
motions can be realized. These findings offer new insights into the dynamics of
active matter and have broad interests in periodically driven active systems.Comment: 14 pages,6 figures, 3 movie
Impact of Cognitive Bias on Improvised Decision-Makers’ Risk Behavior: An Analysis Based on the Mediating Effect of Expected Revenue and Risk Perception
On the basis of prospect theory and risk-benefit model, we make a theoretical research to explore the mechanism of cognitive bias in improvised decision-making. We consider that cognitive bias affect the risk behavior of improvised decision-making by impacting expected revenue and risk perception. Based on the data from 137 decision-makers of multi-level as well as the results of regression analysis, this paper indicates that: a) Expected revenue and risk perception are positively associated to risk behavior of improvised decision-making; b) Framing effect is positively associated to expected revenue of decision-makers; over-confidence and representativeness bias are negatively but availability bias are positively associated to risk perception; iii)Risk perception partially mediates the relationship between representativeness bias , availability bias and risk behavior of improvised decision-making, but completely mediates the relationship between overconfidence and risk behavior of improvised decision-making. Meantime, expected revenue completely mediates the relationship between framing effect and risk behavior of improvised decision-making
OpenMines: A Light and Comprehensive Mining Simulation Environment for Truck Dispatching
Mine fleet management algorithms can significantly reduce operational costs
and enhance productivity in mining systems. Most current fleet management
algorithms are evaluated based on self-implemented or proprietary simulation
environments, posing challenges for replication and comparison. This paper
models the simulation environment for mine fleet management from a complex
systems perspective. Building upon previous work, we introduce probabilistic,
user-defined events for random event simulation and implement various
evaluation metrics and baselines, effectively reflecting the robustness of
fleet management algorithms against unforeseen incidents. We present
``OpenMines'', an open-source framework encompassing the entire process of mine
system modeling, algorithm development, and evaluation, facilitating future
algorithm comparison and replication in the field. Code is available in

Balanced geological section for extensional tectonic basin and its implication: An example from southern Songliao Basin
The balanced geological sect ion has been widely used for the analysis of orogenic belt, but it is infrequent for ex tensional basins. In this paper, 4 extensional balanced geological sect ion analysis were practiced in Fuyu oil layer of Liangjing , Jilin oilfield, southern Songliao basin with the technology and method, including deformation history restoration, decompaction and erosion restoration. The structure of different ages and the continuous sedimentary sections have been restored. T he result s show that the structural styles possess the characteristics of negative flower structure in the shallow level and ex tensional detachment in deep level. The parameters, including fault growth index, the basin ex tensional history and fault detachment depth, indicate that Late Cretaceous is an important stage for the structure transferring mainly with a strike-slip style before this time and an ex tensional structure and detachment after this time. Therefore, a basin model with twin dynamic property and back-arc characters is proposed.published_or_final_versio
