THE READING CULTURE OF ENGLISH MAJORED STUDENTS AT TAY DO UNIVERSITY, VIETNAM
In the 21st century, the development of many modern entertainment facilities makes people rarely focus on reading books. So, the reading culture gradually fell into oblivion. In reality, when teachers ask students about their reading habit, students often say “we seldom read books”, they mostly read books because of teacher requests or school assignments. Therefore, the research “The reading culture of English majored students at Tay Do University” was conducted with the purpose of helping English linguistic students to acknowledge the importance of reading books. Thanks to this, they can find their own situations and spend more time reading books. The participants of this study were 100 English majored students of four classes including English Linguistic 10B, 11A, 12C and 13A at Tay Do University that were chosen randomly. The instrument used in this thesis was the questionnaire. The data from questionnaires were statistically analyzed by SPSS English version 20.0 package. Based on research results, the researcher found out some common students’ thoughts on reading culture as well as solutions to develop their reading culture in the future. Article visualizations

Osteogenesis activity of fractions extracted from Clinacanthus nutans (Burm. F.) Lindau
Osteogenesis activity of fractions extracted from Clinacanthus nutans was evaluated on an in vitro model using osteoblast MC3T3-E1 cells. The results showed that all fractions, including ethanol (EtOH), n-hexane, ethyl acetate (EtOAc) and butanol (BuOH) were not significantly toxic to the osteoblast cells at the test concentrations of 5, 10, 25, and 50 µg/mL. The EtOH and EtOAc fractions exhibited the highest osteogenesis activity in terms of enhancement of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and mineralization activity of MC3T3-E1 cells, especially the EtOAc fraction which increased ALP activity up to 30% and mineralization activity up to 100%. Thus, the EtOAc fraction shows osteogenesis activity through stimulating activites of the two markers for bone generation including ALP and mineralization in osteoblast cells. The fraction is now under extensive investigation to isolate and fully understand the modes of action of the active compounds.
A study of 3D modelling the vibrations induced from grab shock at the Metro Line 3 project in Hanoi
The density of high-rise building is increasing over recent years in urban city. Construction activities, particularly piling processes, D-wall excavation, are paid attention due to ground borne vibrations. The impact of vibrations induced from construction activates on existing buildings is discussed in the past and so on. However, there is rarely study their vibrations in Vietname specially in construction activities such as grab shocking. Continuing the analytical and experimental studies of the grab shocking in the Metro Line 3 project in Hanoi, 3D modelling of vibrations induced from the grab shocking on the existing building is carried out by Plaxis software. The hardening soil model is used and the acceleration of the grabin the bentonite slurry is considered in the model. The comparison between the analytical solution and the 3D simulation is highlighted in the paper to show the accuracy and robustness of the 3D modeling. This study is applied to investigate the vibrations on existing building in the Metro Line 3 project and to control the grab drop length as well as the distance of existing building to the vibration source
RESEARCH ON BUILDING A COMPOSTING PROCESS OF PEELED SHRIMP SHELLS PRODUCED IN SUPER-INTENSIVE SHRIMP FARMING INTO ORGANIC FERTILIZER BY PROBIOTICS
In this study, the author mixed peeled shrimp shells in intensive shrimp farming and straw with probiotics using the aerobic organic composting process to produce calciumrich organic fertilizer. After 50 days of composting of peeled shrimp shells and straw with BioUSD or Fito-Biomix RR probiotics, the resulting fertilizer was brown-black in color, highly soft, spongy and highly degraded and has a relatively uniform size. Due to the action of microorganisms in Bio-USD probiotics, the nutritional compositions in peeled shrimp shell fertilizer had total nitrogen 4.34%, NH4+-N 269 (mg/kg), total carbon 14.6%, organic matter 51.3%, total calcium 22.0%, and C/N ratio 3.26. Similarly, the nutritional compositions in that fertilizer by FitoBiomix RR probiotics were total nitrogen 4.17%, NH4+-N 329 (mg/kg), total carbon 17.8%, organic matter 53.8%, total calcium 17.8%, and C/N ratio 4.27. Finally, the author evaluated the quality of the fertilizers with different probiotics in bok choy cultivation
Elements affecting primary school teachers' digital competency in Vietnam’s northern mountainous areas
This study aims to identify the elements that contribute to the digital competencies of primary school teachers working in the mountainous region of Northern Vietnam and assess the significance of these factors. The research sample consisted of 260 primary school teachers from this region. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and multivariate regression methods are used. The results of this research indicate that seven characteristics have a substantial impact on the digital abilities of teachers: ability to incorporate digital technology into teaching, conditions for digital transformation in teaching and learning activities are found to be influential, ability to create digital resources is highlighted as an important factor, ability to select teaching content with opportunities for technology usage, professional development needs of teachers, school policy and ability to select digital resources. These results offer education administrators a comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing primary teachers' digital competencies and enable them to implement strategic changes and prioritize each element. Moreover, this study provides a valuable reference for future researchers seeking to explore new research directions in this field and analyze the correlation between factors to propose solutions to develop digital competencies of primary school teachers suitable to specific contexts and conditions
Facile Synthesis of Carbon Quantum Dots by Plasma-liquid Interaction Method
Carbon quantum dots (CQDs) are a novel type of fluorescent nano-materials with various unique properties. They are recently attracting enormous interest due to their superiority in water solubility, chemical inertness, low toxicity, ease of functionalization as well as resistance to photo-bleaching and potential applications in biomedical indication, photo-catalysis, energy conversion, optoelectronics, and sensing. In this work, we present a facile and environmentally friendly synthesis of CQDs based on plasma - liquid interaction method. This is a single-step method and does not use toxic chemicals. The size distribution of obtained CQDs is rather uniform at approximately 3 nm. The emission peak of CQDs shifts from 427 nm to 523 nm as the excitation wavelength is varied from 340 nm to 460 nm. The non-equilibrium reactive chemistry of plasma liquid interaction is responsible for acceleration of the CQDs formation process
The Visible Light Activity of the TiO2 and TiO2:V4+ Photocatalyst
TiO2 and vanadium‐doped TiO2 nanoparticles were synthesized by using the hydrothermal method. The V doping contents are 0.0; 0.1; 0.3; 0.5; 0.7 and 0.9% molar.
The vanadium‐doped TiO2 nanoparticles have identical anatase phase with an average crystal size of 10‐20nm. The oleic acid and ethanol solvents with different molar concentrations can make spherical nanograins, or stick form grains, which influence the photo activity of the materials. The absorption spectra of doped samples exhibited long-tailed absorption in the visible light region above 380nm.
The visible light photocatalytic activity was evaluated by the degradation of phenol aqueous solutions; after 360 min. under the visible irradiation, the normalized concentration of phenol decreased to 9%
Research on Urban Land Use Change in Ha Noi, Viet Nam Using Remote Sensing and GIS for Planning Oriented Work
Currently, 55% of the world’s population lives in urban areas, this proportion is expected to increase to 68% by 2050. In the next 30 years, a large amount of the world's population is predictably concentrated in urban areas in the developing world. Ha Noi is the capital and largest city of Viet Nam which has the average growth rate of approximately 3% per year. Urban development management has become an important issue in Viet Nam since the negative impacts of the urban sprawl on the environmental sustainability, life quality has been increasing as well. Hence, urban planning and management would be pivotal for creating the effective framework conditions for a sustainable development. The objective of our study is to explore the urban growth of Ha Noi using the Landsat images from 1975 to 2020 compared to the city planning. The volatility analysis information from classified urban land maps is considered supportive for urban management and planning oriented work. In addition, the remote sensing data analysis is a useful tool to support planners, managers for urban management and decision. This study results showed the urban land area in study site city has been growing about 3 times and the largest rate (4-6 times) for the Dong Anh, Tu Liem, Gia Lam and smallest rate (10-25%) for Ba Dinh and Hai Ba Trung districts
