Spin-rotor Interpretation of Identical Bands and Quantized Alignment in Superdeformed A 190 Nuclei
The ``identical'' bands in superdeformed mercury, thallium, and lead nuclei
are interpreted as examples of orbital angular momentum rotors with the weak
spin-orbit coupling of pseudo- symmetries and supersymmetries.Comment: 15 pages, revtex 3.0, 7 figures available upon request from

An Uqp(u2) Model for Rotational Bands of Nuclei
A rotational model is developed from a new version of the two-parameter
quantum algebra . This model is applied to the description
of some recent experimental data for the rotating superdeformed nuclei
and . A comparison between
the model presented here and the Raychev-Roussev-Smirnov
model with symmetry shows the relevance of the
introduction of a second parameter of a ``quantum algebra'' type.Comment: 11 pages, Tex, LYCEN 934
