The methanol extract of fruits of Pandanus odoratissimus L. f. was partitioned in increasing polarity of organic solvents: n-hexane, chloroform and ethyl acetate. From the CHCl3 extract,  four phenolic compounds, including vanillin (1), and three lignan compounds, (+)-pinoresinol (2); (+)-syringaresinol (3); and (+)-medioresinol were isolated. Their structures were determined on the basis of analysis of spectral data, including 1D-, 2D-NMR and ESI-MS

As quail farming is developing, the demand for using probiotics to handle by-products is also increasing. This study carried out an experiment to spray 3 types of probiotics (Biopro (containing Bacillus licheniformis TT01 bacteria), EM1, Balasa 01) corresponding respectively to 3 experimental lots (experiment 1, experiment 2, experiment 3) for the direct handling of quail livestock by-products in barns. Evaluation results after 2 months of the trial showed: When using BioPro, the quail's guano is more unconsolidated than the control experiment, as well as than the experiments using EM1 and Balasa 01; The density of harmful microorganisms in the quail's guano reduced significantly when Biopro was sprayed: H2S gas content decreased by 90.24%, NH3 gas content at experiment 1, experiment 2, experiment 3 decreased by 80.37%; 69.16%; 64.95% in comparison with the control experiment
