Clarifying rainfall-runoff responses in mountainous areas is essential for disaster prediction as well as water resource management. Although runoff is considered to be significantly affected by topography, some previous studies have reported that geological structures also have significant effects on rainfall-runoff characteristics. Particularly in headwater catchments located in sedimentary rock mountains, dips and strikes may significantly affect rainwater discharge. In this study, the effects of geological structures on rainfall-runoff characteristics were investigated based on observed discharge hydrographs from 12 catchments, which lie radially from the summit of a sedimentary rock mountain. The results obtained were as follows: (1) Even though the topographic wetness index (TWI) distributions of the 12 catchments were similar, there were significant differences in their runoff characteristics; (2) Catchments with average flow direction oriented towards the strike direction (strike-oriented catchments) are characterized by large baseflows; (3) Catchments with average flow direction oriented towards the opposite dip direction (opposite dip-oriented catchments) are steep, and this results in quick storm runoff generation; (4) Catchments with average flow direction oriented toward the dip direction (dip-oriented catchments) are gentle, and this results in delayed storm runoff generation. It was presumed that in strike-oriented catchments, large quantities of groundwater flowing along the bedding planes owing to hydraulic anisotropy, exfiltrate and sustain the large amount of the observed baseflow, that is, in strike-oriented catchments, runoff is directly controlled by geological structures. Conversely, in opposite dip-oriented and dip-oriented catchments, runoff is indirectly controlled by geological structures, that is, geological structures affect slope gradients, which result in differences in storm runoff generation. Thus, this study clearly illustrates that geological structures significantly affect rainfall-runoff responses in headwater catchments located in sedimentary rock mountains

We investigated how female college students majoring in physical education classified and positioned new sports, as well as the possibility of their use during coaching and elements that had effects on these factors. The number of athletic events used was 15, and we performed cluster analysis and discriminant analysis. The findings obtained can be summarized as follows: 1. The athletic events were classified into the 3 groups; (1) those utilized actively in a wide range of activities,(2) those not utilized or improved, though the possibility of later use during coaching was high, and(3) athletic events not utilized. 2. New sports belonging to the 3 groups were Short tennis, Kin-ball, Indiaca, Flying disk, Double dutch, Flingo, and Tee ball in group (1); Gate ball, Ground golf, Petanque, and Shuffle board in group(2); and Sports chanbara, Touch rugby, Tchoukball, and Unihoc in group(3). 3. While the possibility of using the activities during coaching was highest in order of group number, awareness and acquisition were classified on a considerably high level. 4. Elements that showed effects on their possible use during coaching were skills, practicality, and amount of exercise. Notably, acquisition of skills was regarded as especially important, following by practicality and amount of exercise

The study this time was the third step of a research continued. The purpose of a continuous study is completeness of a course to train a leader. The purpose of the third step study was to analyze a personal evaluation of students between employment classification and grade of students. The results were summerized as follows; 1) An agreement extent of desire and employment was an approximately 80%. 98% of employment persons who became instructor highly evaluated capability of its own self. However, evaluation of a leader training course was restricted less than 30%. 2) Qualification for leaders that was requested it to many was qualification to be related to sports trainer, training instructor, first-aid and aerobics instructor. However, This requirement tends to change it because of physical strength and capability development of its own self. 3) Students recognize that service attitude, safe plan and leadership is the most important as instructor. This behavior is continued from while at school. 4) The 3 factor that was extracted from factor analysis was expansion of instruction capability, capability of operation management and capability of market development. The result of study by the last time was suggested. Then, I point out to be necessary to establish subjects of operation management for a benefit of training course

A series of study has been begun to consider the skill students get and students’ intention change by experiencing a new sports. The purpose of this study was an analysis of the element which influences introduction to daily life, participation in a workshop and the contribution amount to the guidance. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The students’ consciousness that I’ll practice by a life was low. The common elements which have an influence on students\u27 intention were new technological acquisition, the appropriate momentum in each group and a moderate play. Competing students like an individual game, and the students who aren\u27t competing like a group game. The students with short learning time chose several new sports. 2. It was revealed that most students don’t feel the necessity about participation in an institute, an athletic meeting and a workshop. 3. 1)The students who are continuing a play and are learning much educational method imagined the place of employment with the strong play. These students like the thing which can get knowledge and technology and new sports of the high momentum and high play. 2)The play wasn’t continued, but the students learning much educational method imagined the place of employment related to the health and recreation. These students have the request which would like to guide many new sports in the place of employment. 3)The students of play isn’t continued and leadership is low doesn’t consider the place of employment specifically. These students will decide about new sports by whether it won\u27t be done whether it\u27s possible to guide oneself

This research examined satisfaction constituting factors in camp practice participants around the comparisons of four years. The results were summarized as follows: 1. Four factors, i.e.“activeness and adaptation”,“ inspiration and sense of participation”,“ democracy and fairness” and“ health condition”, have been extracted as satisfaction constituting factors. Internal consistency between subscales was high and appropriate as well; 2. Comparing favor tendency between before and after practices, it was shown significantly higher after practice, and therefore evaluation after practice was set as a dependent variable for the analysis; Favor tendency was higher in community life, nature and outdoor activity, in that order, and they were all significantly in a positive correlation with each other; There was no difference every academic year about the goodwill tendency. 3. Although contributing factors for favor tendency improvement differ from one field to another“, activeness and adaptation” and“ inspiration and sense of participation” were common factors with strong persuasiveness in each field; 4. Beneficial aspect in mutual instruction and adequacy of time schedule, daily duty and contents of program were influential elements on favor tendency improvement

The purpose of the research is clarification of the intention change into new sports. This time, it is a target to obtain basic material of the continuance research. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The club belonging rate was 60%, and the club independence rate was 40%. At the level of the game, most people were high-ranking levels of the university students in Japan. 2. The experience of the past was very little. 3. The amount of the movement was different depending on the length of“ Time to walk” and“ Stop time”. The game was different by the presence of the opponent. All members showed a high tendency in the understanding level. 4. The characteristic of new sports that influenced the orientation was“ It was a few people system”,“ Big power is not needed”,“ The moving range is a little”,“ Tools are not large scale”,“ The amount of the movement is comparatively large”,“ There is continuance”, and“ A moderate game is possessed”. 5. The hint of teaching was able to be offered by one class

The study this time was 2nd step of a research continued. The first purpose was an evaluation of leader talents of graduates. The 2nd purpose was an analysis of differrence opinions of students and graduates. Then, the 3th purpose was to grasp trends of graduates. The results were summerized as follows: 1) The employment decision rate for a social athletic relevant job was 50% approximately. Students who would like to animate a learning in a college for employment was 70%. However, the job classification that students wished was decided, when it was admitted to a college. 2) The aim of graduates was to acquire a wide leadership to be available at workplace. They strongly were demanding a leader talent to have a thorough knowledge of before instruction movement. Concretely, they were knowledge and technology for safe countermeasure, Machine and Consultation. It is necessary that a training course tries practice type subjects for students. 3) The reply rate of physical fitness and rest was low. However, a reply rate of personal capability development was high similarly to the last research. It is necessary that a training course establishes more personal capability development relevant subjects. 4) The evaluation of graduates for a training course was comparatively high. However, recognition and movement for employment were quite low. It is important that a training course executes a service for the purpose of employment outside lesson for students. The research this time was only an evaluation of the whole of graduates and students. It is a study assignment that the next time executes analysis of students who wished a leader, before analysis on the side of employer
