In this study, there are six measures of BORA scores, namely Overall BORA score, Malaysia BORA score, Foreign BORA score, US BORA score, Europe BORA score and Singapore BORA score

    Measuring customer satisfaction level at counter service, SunLife Malaysia Johor Bahru

    This article was published, to identify significant effect between factors influencing customer satisfaction, in SunLife Malaysia Johor Bahru. Every business organization’s success depends on the satisfaction of their customers. Service quality is well recognized to influence the customer satisfaction. According to the Life Insurance Association Malaysia (LIAM) records, there are increasing numbers of complaints were reported from 2005 until today. Some issues such as poor service, delay in settlement of claims, wrong information, price fixing and lack of professionalism in their work by the agents of insurance companies and many others reasons were reported. Although there are several studies on customer satisfaction has been carried out before, unfortunately there are not many studies were done mainly in counter service for insurance companies in Malaysia. This study aims to measure the level of factors influencing customer satisfaction towards insurance counter service. 400 numbers of participants were chosen to conduct this study consist of existing SunLife Malaysia Johor Bahru customers. Quantitative method was conducted whereby 200 sets of hard copy questionnaires were distributed to the walk-in customers in the service counter. Another 200 sets of Google Form questionnaire were distributed online. However, researcher only received back 230 sets of responded questionnaires which are sufficient number to perform the research. The result shown that there is a significant effect between the 3 construct in counter service practice towards customer satisfaction, whereby Staff has become the highest element (based on the mean score) among the three factors. This study is expected not only to prove the conceptual of counter service practice; but the empirical evidence from the study can be used in order to facilitate more detailed future studies especially in customer service fields. It is also expected to improve understandings of the factor contribute to the customer satisfaction level in the service counter. The result of this study is beneficial to the insurance sectors’ counter service mainly in customer service department to enhance more customer satisfaction and loyalty towards the organizations

    This article aims to give an overview of the importance of customer satisfaction. In the context of the healthcare setting, patient satisfaction remains a useful indicator to measure customer satisfaction. Hence, reflecting the quality of healthcare services. Customer expectation and experience play an important role in determining customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction is the degree to which the products or services provided by the organisation meet the expectation and how is their experience with the products or services. This article emphasised the relationship between customer expectations and experience with customer satisfaction at outpatient clinic services based on previous literature. The reliability and validity of the research instruments used to measure customer satisfaction in this study are discussed to ensure that the research instrument has high reliability and validity. Thus, proving that measuring patient expectation and the patient experience level is important in determining customer satisfaction at outpatient clinic services. The findings of this study revealed that all variables of this study are of high reliability and validity

    Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) is important in ensuring that an organization’s green initiatives and efforts are embraced by all their employees. Concerns on global warming, environmental issues, and also sustainability have come into serious agenda where most of the firms and organizations have actively taken action to expand and evolve in managing relationships with the natural environment by doing green management. Adopting major (GHRM) practices would lead to the implementation of Green Management practices (GMGT) in achieving Green Competitive Advantage (GCA). The aim of this paper is to develop a conceptual framework in establishing a link between GHRM, GMGT, and GCA. In addition, the role of stakeholder pressure as a moderator was also being examined in this study. This research is primarily a conceptual paper that draws on a database of past research and literature review in the area of GHRM. In addition, this research also proposed future studies to empirically examine the proposed relationship discussed in this paper

    Factors influencing competitive pricing for airlines in Malaysia

    The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influenced competitive pricing for airlines in Malaysia. A particular route, Kuala Lumpur to Singapore has been selected as the case study whilst observing a comparison of competitive pricing between full service and low cost carriers. This research was derived in response of World’s Busiest International Air Routes report from OAG Aviation Worldwide that shows more than 30,000 flights frequency on average in both directions for international route Kuala Lumpur to Singapore on an annual basis. This study will try to explore the influence in competitive pricing between forecast on demand and product quality. A framework model has been proposed to determine the factors on competitive airlines pricing in Malaysia. The outcome of this study is to assist airlines to develop an effective approach for competitive pricing for passengers to choose their desired air carrier for short haul flight sectors

    I Know You: User Profiling on Social Media Usage of Chinese Private University Students

    Chinese university students’ use of social media is becoming increasingly diverse, and students from private universities in China have different group characteristics than those from public universities. This research endeavoured to establish a comprehensive user profile of Chinese private university students by examining their social media usage patterns. The purpose was to gain profound insights into the distinctive attributes of students in China’s private universities within the context of the current era characterised by extensive data availability. This study employed a questionnaire-based research approach to acquire a dataset consisting of 673 instances of social media usage among students enrolled in private universities in China. Subsequently, exploratory factor analysis was performed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software, extracting five (5) categorical feature tags. Combined with the extracted feature tags and the usage status and perception dimension data, the K-means cluster analysis method was used to perform rapid clustering to derive four (4) differentiated groups comprising information exchange-oriented users, instrument-oriented users, dependent-oriented users and entertainment-oriented users. Furthermore, thorough analysis and description of the essential attributes for these 4 user profile categories have been conducted by incorporating the fundamental user information

    The internationalization of Born Globals business schools: A conceptual framework

    In responding to contemporary emerging trends of the globalization, this paper aims at introducing a new insight to be added to the previous studies in the literature review in the field of educational management. To be a new research, this study provides new thoughts compared to existing literature, it explores the Born Global and Uppsala theories of internationalization and its feasibility to examine Born Global in the internationalization of business schools. It also provides new insights on how the Born Global model of internationalization allows the influence of other elements to benefit the internationalization process in business schools. Many business schools failed in achieving their internationalization delivery and unable to translate the knowledge they produce into the emerging world knowledge economy. As the world is said to be undergoing a change of education due to the impression of internationalization, there is an urge for business schools to revamp their curriculum and programs to keep pace with global economic transformation as well as to equip business graduates with the 21st century skills demands. This new insight created by the current studies offers conceptual framework of the business schools internationalization process on Born Global perspectives, which has the potential contributions towards reaching internationalization goals and enhancing better quality of business school's education

    The behavioral intention of young Malaysians towards cashless society: Value-based adoption model

    AbstractThe purpose of this study is to validate the Value-based Adoption Model (VAM) in order to investigate young Malaysians’ e-wallet adoption intentions. A structured questionnaire was used to collect 214 questionnaires. The hypotheses proposed for this study were tested using SmartPLS, a second-generation analysis of partial least squares (PLS). Perceived sacrifice and perceived benefit influenced perceived value (PV). The results have shown that perceived benefit has a higher significance compared to perceived sacrifice on PV. Innovative resistance and privacy risk were found to have a negative impact on perceived value. Market practitioners can utilize this model to create secure, convenient and user-friendly e-wallets, resulting in effective marketing strategies that increase e-wallet adoption intentions among the young Malaysians

    Belt & road initiative: A qualitative study on Malaysians’ awareness and attitude on education opportunities

    China has received overwhelming responses from the world since the introduction of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) by the Chinese President, Xi Jinping. Majority of country leaders are indeed demonstrated a positive attitude towards the potential and associated benefits that brought by BRI. The coverage of BRI is huge, comprising policy coordination, infrastructure development, economic integration, cultural exchange, as well as healthcare and education development, which bring impacts at country, industry and individual levels. This qualitative study strived to explore Malaysians perspective towards the education and human capital development that brought by BRI, in particularly their awareness and attitude. Focus group has been carried out, and the study involved 17 participants. The research findings demonstrated that Malaysians showed moderate level towards the education opportunities that brought by BRI, but basically for those who were aware of, their attitude was positive. Research implications were also discussed and recommendations were also provided to both policy makers and market practitioners in higher education industry
