In order to achieve this it is important to answer the following questions: 1) What are the peculiarities of Russia’s NSI, its problems and disproportions, that originate from the Soviet period and still have an effect on Russia’s NSI? 2) What are the main subjects of Russia’s NSI, and how they interact? 3) Which organizational and economic forms increase the effectiveness of innovation processes on the federal and regional levels? 4) How are the innovation processes regulated on the municipal level? 5) How can the State initiate innovation processes? 6) How can we summarize foreign experience of NSI shaping and developing and apply it for improving Russia’s NSI? Answering each question would require separate research. Therefore, in this article we will pay more attention to the business sector of Russia’s NSI as the key element and indicator of the whole NSI effectiveness. National, regional or industrial explanation for firms' deaths in the European Union since 2010 until 2014 - a shift-share application

The concept of business closure is one of the main events in business demography which importance for the business cycle is well recognized in the specialised literature. Traditionally, firms’ closure has been associated with regional factors. Still, a region can have different from the nation aggregate rate of activity because it has a different mix of industries and/or because it enjoys comparatively more favourable local conditions for that activity (Fotopoulos & Spence, 2001). Thus, business closure may be driven by the business cycle, industrial composition as well as a regional advantage (Cheng, 2011). Regarding the previous framework, the research work is dedicated to analyse each of these three factors that may drove business closure in European Union countries between 2010 and 2014, and to find out which of them has/have been the most important one(s). For this purpose, a shift-share decomposition analysis of business closure will be applied. The results proved that the regional component had the highest impact on firms’ deaths during the investigated period of time for almost all countries included in the analysis. Only for a few countries and in specific industries the most influential factor was the industrial composition, and even for less the national macroeconomic path.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming a pervasive technology and companies are increasingly urged to adopt and implement it in order to thrive and innovate. While much has been researched on the role AI can play in business-to customer (B2C) settings, a research gap exists when it comes to business-to-business (B2B), which is characterized by higher complexity, increasing number of players, and larger volumes of data. In such a context, an emerging issue deals with the possibility of understanding how companies can leverage AI to aptly manage the customer journey. This aspect touches on many organizational activities, so managers must be aware of existing solutions, process implications, and potential outcomes. In this article, we present an empirical study of 61 Indian B2B companies and provide an input-process-output (IPO) framework to help managers understand and profit from AI solutions while effectively managing the customer journey. We add value to literature on using AI to improve the customer journey in B2B settings. The developed IPO model can be used as a roadmap for introducing AI in managing customer journeys as well as a strategic instrument for organizational change and design
