    CONFLICTOLOGICAL CULTURE OF PERSONALITY IN A PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT (BY THE EXAMPLE OF PEDAGOGUES AND ENGINEERS)

    The levels of conflictological culture of pedagogues and engineers, the peculiarities of its formation as well as the comparison of the conflictological cultureā€™s levels among representatives of these specialties on the base of their gender and work experience are analyzed in the proposed research. Each specialist owns a certain level of the conflictological cultureā€™s development and he/she expresses it in a professional environment. The relevance of the researchā€™s theme is caused by the necessity to improve conflictological culture of specialists for their further successful activities. The Aim of the research is the identification of differences in the levelsā€™ formation of specialistsā€™ conflictological culture by the example of pedagogues and engineers and the influence of such a characteristic as a gender and work experience Ā on it. The Object of the research is the process of forming conflictological culture of pedagogues and engineers. The Methods of the research are the following:1. the theoretical analysis of scientific literature on the given problem;2.the empirical analysis of obtained data reflected the levelā€™s formation of pedagogues and engineers.

    The Actuality of the proposed research is caused by the facts that the rapid development of market relations in the Latvian economy and a high level of life in the ā€œold countriesā€ of the European Union affect the outlook of the majority of young people in Latvia. There is a tendency to reduce the motivationĀ  Ā for obtaining fundamental education by giving preference to acquisition of certain professional skills allowed to get ā€˜quick moneyā€. The Object of the research is the transformation process of studentsā€™ beliefs, values, competences, experience during their lifelong learning. The Aim of the research in to analyze the influence of lifelong educationĀ Ā  on the transformation of studentsā€™ beliefs, values, competences and experience. The Methods of the research are the following: 1.theoretical methods: the theoretical analysis of the scientific literature on the given problem; 2.quantitative methods: questionnaires; 3.the empirical analysis of the surveyā€™s answers given by students of Latvian higher and vocational schools about the transformation of their beliefs, values, competences, experience during the process of lifelong learning. The Baltic International Academy (Riga, Latvia), The Latvian Agricultural University and the Jelgava College (Jelgava, Latvia) were used as the experimental Base of the research.

    The Comparative Analysis of Higher School Studentsā€™ Conflictological Culture On The Basis Of Their Left-/Right- Handedness

    We face with different kinds of conflicts every day. The problem of the conflictological culture Ā Ā of personality is urgent nowadays, because only a person with a highly developed level of the ability to avoid or successfully solve conflicts can succeed at work and in life-long learning. The European Council defined five key competences necessary for future specialistsā€™ successful functioning in the contemporary society. The first place in this list was assigned for social competence as the ability to be responsible, able to take part in group decisions, avoid and resolve conflicts (The Symposium of the European Council. Brussels, 1996). The authors of the given research analyze the essence of the notions ā€conflictā€, Ā ā€œconflictological cultureā€, as an integral quality of a person where the main stress is paid on its structural componentsā€™ content. They also Ā investigate different aspects of activities and psychophysiological development of left- and right-handedness of people. The empirical analysis conducted in the research presents the data obtained in the investigationĀ  of the left- and right-handed studentsā€™ conflictological cultureā€™s level. The Object of the research is the conflictological cultureā€™s Ā level of students Ā at higher school. The Aim of the research is to investigate: 1) the essence of Ā the notions ā€œ conflictā€, ā€œ conflictological Ā cultureā€, 2) the level of conflictological cultureĀ  of students of the 1st and 4th courses at Ā higher school on the basis of their left-/rightā€”handedness. The Methods of the research are the following:1.
