    The goal of every modern German language teaching is acquisition of language competences, that is, training students to manage themselves in everyday communicative situations. Knowing as many words as possible of the target language is certainly one of the main elements for smooth communication. Apart from the continuous practice and repetition of the words, teacher’s approach towards the explanation of new words in German language teaching is also of great importance. One of the oldest and at the same time easiest explanation technique for teachers is the direct translation into the native language. Since the emergence of the grammar-translation method, the direct translation of unknown words has been the main and basic technique applied in the German language teaching. With the appearance of the direct method, through the audio-lingual and audio-visual method, up to the pragmatic-functional concept, various techniques of explaining the unknown vocabulary appeared, with the aim of more effective and long-term memorization of the certain vocabulary. The purpose of this paper is to determine how much various techniques for explaining new words are applied in German language teaching. This paper presents a large number of techniques for explaining unknown words, namely non-verbal and verbal techniques of explanation, and through a questionnaire conducted among German language teachers, mostly from the Eastern region, it determines which technique is most used in modern German language teaching.     Writing is one of the basic cultural techniques and belongs to the basic skills, through which language is reflected in graphic signs. Writing usually serves us to share facts, thoughts or feelings in written form. According to Heyd, writing in foreign language teaching represents an opportunity for contact with a new, unknown structure (1997:181). What is its function in the teaching of the German language depends on whether it represents a teaching or intermediate goal. Writing as an intermediate goal serves us to determine the students' knowledge, rewrite or retell texts in written form, write down new grammatical structures or new vocabulary in a notebook, etc.. On the other hand, if we use writing in order to share some essential information, observing all language norms, we talk about writing as a teaching goal. The skill of writing, in addition to the skills of reading, listening and speaking, is one of the four key skills, the acquisition of which facilitates the acquisition of a foreign language and contributes to the acquisition of communicative competences. What is the representation of the skill of writing in the teaching of the German language and what techniques, strategies and methods are used for its successful adoption is the subject of research in this paper. Through a previously prepared survey for a total of 26 German language teachers, we will try to reflect the state and treatment of the skill of writing in the teaching process, as well as the representation or non-representation of the various techniques and methods that contribute to the successful acquisition of language competences in written form, with the hope that the obtained results will contribute to the improvement of this skill, with the aim of easier and long-term adoption of writing as a productive skill present in our everyday life.     Creative industries represent one of the fastest growing sectors of the European economy. Hence our interest in this research problem, which is closely related to digitalization and its challenges. The purpose of the conducted research is to present the theoretical aspects of the creative industries in the EU, through a qualitative analysis of the meaning and role of these industries. There are different definitions of the creative industries that vary depending on the perspective of the person addressing the topic. The UNCTAD definition is the most widely accepted because of its adaptability β€œCreative industries are cycles of creation, production and distribution of goods and services that use creativity and intellectual capital as primary inputs; constitute a set of knowledge-based activities, focused but not limited to the arts, but potentially generating income from trade and intellectual property rights; encompassing tangible products and intangible intellectual or artistic services with creative content, economic value and market objectives".
