First reports of Cepaea hortensis (O.F. Müller, 1774) (Pulmonata: Stylommatophora: Helicidae) in the Valencian Community

En el presente artículo se aportan las primeras citas de Cepaea hortensis (O.F. Müller, 1774) en la Comunidad Valenciana. Corresponden al Rincón de Ademuz, en la provincia de València y constituyen citas de gran valor biogeográfico por su latitud meridional en la península ibérica. Los ejemplares fueron determinados por sus caracteres conquiliológicos y mediante el examen del dardo del aparato reproductor.In this article the first reports of Cepaea hortensis (O.F. Müller, 1774) for the Valencian Community are cited. These discoveries were made in the Rincón de Ademuz, (province of Valencia) and they have a high biogeographic interest due to its southern latitude in the Iberian Peninsula. The specimens were determined by their conchological characters and by inspection of the dart of the reproductive system
