No full textRecent research describes how code clones in source code decrease reliability of the program and require more development cost. To solve the problem, several code clone detection methods and tools have been implemented. In this paper, we propose a novel code clone detection/modification tool to support the software maintenance process. The proposed tool, SHINOBI, indicates code clones in source code immediately by real-time clone detection. The results of an evaluation experiment showed the system had sufficient performance to support programmers in a large-scale maintenance project
