    Indication for the coexistence of closed orbit and quantum interferometer with the same cross section in the organic metal (ET)4(H3O)[Fe(C2O4)3].C6H4Cl2: Persistence of SdH oscillations above 30 K

    Shubnikov-de Haas (SdH) and de Haas-van Alphen (dHvA) oscillations spectra of the quasi-two dimensional charge transfer salt β\beta"-(ET)4_4(H3_3O)[Fe(C2_2O4_4)3_3]\cdotC6_6H4_4Cl2_2 have been investigated in pulsed magnetic fields up to 54 T. The data reveal three basic frequencies Fa_a, Fb_b and Fba_{b - a}, which can be interpreted on the basis of three compensated closed orbits at low temperature. However a very weak thermal damping of the Fourier component Fb_b, with the highest amplitude, is evidenced for SdH spectra above about 6 K. As a result, magnetoresistance oscillations are observed at temperatures higher than 30 K. This feature, which is not observed for dHvA oscillations, is in line with quantum interference, pointing to a Fermi surface reconstruction in this compound.Comment: published in Eur. Phys. J.     The role played by politicians in today's global society is extremely important. Politicians` words, their speeches determine the role of the country in the international arena, form the image of the state in the eyes of the world community, and determine the current and future political situation in the state itself and beyond. For every politician, it is essential to use properly various means of persuasion including rhetorical argumentation. The objective of this research is to identify the ways of expressing rhetorical argumentation by means of language. As the goal of rhetorical argumentation is to make the audience accept the point of view of a politician it is clear that this can be only achieved by means of language. After the analysis, it has become clear that these means can be represented on three levels: lexical, syntactical, and stylistic. In our research, we have used several methods among which the main one is the method of pragma-linguistic analysis. It allowed us to analyze the possibilities of the use of language units as means of expressing the speaker`s intentions. We have also used semantic analysis of lexical structures to understand specifics and contextual meaning of the chosen words, functional-semantic analysis that allowed us to study the functions of certain grammatical structures, and stylistic analysis to examine an emotional impact of language means on the audience. The results of this work may help to predict future actions and intentions of the politician, which can be useful in the field of diplomacy and international relations. Moreover, they can help to identify the most productive ways of influencing the audience, which can be used not only in political discourse but in publicistic discourse as well, e. g. in the area of speechwriting

Ott Research Institute of Obstetrics, Gynecology &amp; Reproduction, St. Petersburg, Russian Federation Chemotactic cytokines are a family of signaling proteins secreted by various human tissues. Their functioning is based on the ability to induce directed chemotaxis in nearby susceptible cells. This paper reviews recent published data on one of the most important homeostatic cytokines, stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1). The leading role of this factor in the pathogenesis of various conditions, i.e., toxic, ischemic, and necrotic tissue damage, carcinogenesis (including the mechanisms of invasion and metastasis) is demonstrated. SDF-1 acts as a powerful inductor of angiogenesis and stimulates the proliferation of endothelial cells in reproductive organs. This chemokine is one of the candidate factors involved in the regulation of proliferation and differentiation of human endometrium, i.e., the implementation of epithelial-stromal interaction of tissue elements in uterine mucosa. Clear understanding of the regulatory mechanisms of SDF-1-mediated signaling during trophoblast functioning and placental angiogenesis may help develop novel therapeutic approaches to pregnancy-related disorders.     Magnetic torque and magnetoresistance of the quasi-two-dimensional charge transfer salt β″-(ET)₄(H₃O)[Fe(C₂O₄)₃]⋅C₆H₄Cl₂ have been investigated in pulsed magnetic fields of up to 55 T. At variance with de Haas–van Alphen oscillations, Shubnikov–de Haas oscillations are observed up to temperatures as high as 32 K at ambient pressure despite a significant thermal damping in the low-temperature range. This feature, observed under applied pressure as well, is interpreted on the basis of the coexistence of a closed orbit and a quantum interference path with the same cross section
