The present article is devoted to the search for markers that attest the changes in the protein profile when fattening the lambs with enriched diets, taking into account tissue specificity. The purpose of scientific research was to expand scientific knowledge about the influence of essential trace elements of organic origin in the diet of lambs on the marker-proteins of skeletal muscle tissue, of myocardium and renal cortical substance. The objects of research were the tissues of the m.L.dorsi skeletal muscle, myocardium and cortical substance of the kidneys in lambs of the Edilbaev breed. These lambs received a diet with organic trace elements (iodine, selenium, silicon). To study the effect of microelements in the diets of lambs on change in marker-proteins, we ran the studies of the skeletal muscle, myocardium and cortical substance of the kidneys of lambs, using the method of two-dimensional electrophoresis. When searching for proteins which mark the action of organic additives in the fattening diet of lambs within the tissue of the myocardium and the cortical substance of the kidneys, a number of differences were noted; no pronounced effects were observed in the skeletal muscle. Enrichment of the diet of lambs with selenium derivatives led to a change in the protein composition in the kidneys cortical substance for some isoforms of selenium-containing proteins and related enzymes of the glutathione cycle. Reaction in this process of thermal shock proteins, utilization of aflatoxins and changes in proteins of energy metabolism within mitochondria of kidney cells was also revealed. The determination of functional activity, or immunofermental analysis of glutathione peroxidase 3 count in the blood, can be a promising biomarker for controlling the level of selenium digestion and the count of selenium in blood as a more rapid and cheap method in comparison with the proteomic technologies. And for assessing the rate of digestion and fixation of iodine, it seems promising to determine it via the activity of mitochondrial superoxide dismutase [Mn]. In the myocardium, the effect of digested feed additives mainly affected the mitochondrial apparatus, which changed its functional orientation, with the activation of several other metabolic cycles. These results are prerequisites for obtaining more fundamental data on the effect of diets enriched with essential micronutrients on the molecular mechanisms that take place within the myocardial and kidney tissue of lambs. New data have been obtained on the effect of diets enriched with essential microelements on the molecular mechanisms occurring in the myocardial tissue and cortical substance of the kidneys of goats and sheep. The research results obtained by proteomics methods will be used for modeling and targeted adjustment of diets in order to obtain raw materials with the necessary technological characteristics

    Back pain and osteoporosis

The aging process is accompanied by a structural change and a decrease in the functional activity of organs and tissues, including the bone, with the development of osteoporosis (OP).Objective: to assess the characteristics of pain syndrome in OP patients with nonspecific chronic vertebrogenic lumbar ischialgia (CLI).Patients and methods. Sixty elderly patients with CLI in the presence and absence of OP were examined. All the patients underwent dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry and ultrasound to diagnose the degree of OP and spinal deformity; a flexible rod was used according to the method described by M.A. Kathleen to estimate the angle of kyphosis, lordosis, and scoliosis. The investigators determined pain intensity by a numerical rating scale, the presence of a neuropathic pain component by the DN4 pain scale, the level of anxiety and depression by the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, cognitive status by the Montreal Cognitive Function Rating Scale, the degree of disability by the Oswestry questionnaire, and quality of life by the SF-12 Health Survey. Results and discussion. Our study showed that OP alone is not a cause of CLI in elderly patients. There were no statistically significant differences in the sources and intensity of pain, the degree of anxiety and depressive disorders, impaired quality of life, cognitive status, and degree of disability in patients with chronic lumbar pain syndrome in the presence and absence of OP. Vertebral deformity resulting from OP leads mainly to an obvious poor posture with an increase in thoracic kyphosis, straightening of lumbar lordosis, and S-curve lumbar and thoracic scoliosis, which can also cause secondary muscle spasm.Patients with back pain in the presence of OP are treated in accordance with the general principles of management of patients with non-specific back pain, but taking into account the underlying disease. The paper presents current recommendations for the treatment of nonspecific back pain, for the management of patients with OP, as well as the updated clinical recommendations for the prevention of fractures in OP and osteopenia.Conclusion. Patients with OP are noted to have predominantly chronic musculoskeletal pain in the presence of severe spinal deformity, but the level of this evidence is very low. The features of pain syndrome in patients with nonspecific vertebrogenic chronic lumbar ischialgia in the presence of OP call for further investigations

Erythropoiesis-stimulating properties of anthocyanin-containing complex from Sorbus aucuparia L. in cytostatic anemic syndrome in mice with Lewis lung carcinoma

The results of studying the effect of the anthocyanin-containing complex from Sorbus aucuparia L. on the main indicators of erythropoiesis in the blood and bone marrow of mice with Lewis lung carcinoma against the background of doxorubicin administration were presented. It was shown that administration of the anthocyanin-containing complex from S. aucuparia L. to animals with the tumor prevented the development of anemic syndrome by promoting regeneration of the erythropoiesis after its depletion caused by single administration of a cytostatic agent
