A case report on incidental finding of thymoma as anterior mediastinal mass
Thymomas are rare tumors in the anterior mediastinum, representing 50% of anterior mediastinal masses and about 20-30% of all mediastinal tumors. They are of unknown etiology; about 50% of patients with thymomas are diagnosed incidentally with chest radiography. Thymoma is classified into different stages, which determine the prognosis and type of management, the standard primary treatment for these tumors is Thymectomy. We present a case of 55-year female presented with shortness of breath, cough with expectoration and fever for past ten days. Chest x-ray revealed mediastinal widening. CECT chest showed a well-circumscribed heterogeneous solid enhancing mass lesion. FNAC was planned that showed features in favour of thymoma. Biopsy was done that confirmed lymphocyte rich type B thymoma
Finding Wombling Boundaries in LHC Data with Voronoi and Delaunay Tessellations
We address the problem of finding a wombling boundary in point data generated
by a general Poisson point process, a specific example of which is an LHC event
sample distributed in the phase space of a final state signature, with the
wombling boundary created by some new physics. We discuss the use of Voronoi
and Delaunay tessellations of the point data for estimating the local gradients
and investigate methods for sharpening the boundaries by reducing the
statistical noise. The outcome from traditional wombling algorithms is a set of
boundary cell candidates with relatively large gradients, whose spatial
properties must then be scrutinized in order to construct the boundary and
evaluate its significance. Here we propose an alternative approach where we
simultaneously form and evaluate the significance of all possible boundaries in
terms of the total gradient flux. We illustrate our method with several toy
examples of both straight and curved boundaries with varying amounts of signal
present in the data.Comment: 54 pages. New figure 13 and appendix A added. Conclusions unchanged.

Preparation of High Purity Amorphous Boron Powder
Amorphous boron powder of high purity (92-94 %) with a particle size of l-2 mm is preferred as a fuel for fuel-rich propellants for integrated rocket ramjets and for igniter formulations. Thispaper describes the studies on process optimisation of two processes, ie, oxidative roasting of boron (roasting boron in air) and roasting boron with zinc in an inert medium for preparing high purity boron. Experimental studies reveal that roasting boron with zinc at optimised process conditions yields boron of purity more than 93 per cent, whereas oxidative roasting method yields boron of purity - 92 per cent. Oxidative roasting has comparative edge over the other processes owing to its ease of scale-up and simplicit
Role of clinical pharmacist in drug utilization evaluation, medication adherence and pharmacovigilance
A series of systematic, criterion-based drug evaluation known as Drug utilization review are conducted on a regular basis to ensure that medication is utilized appropriately. It’s a mean of learning more about the issues brought on by drug usage, if done properly, may help to solve the issues. Medication adherence generally refers to a patient’s ability to take prescription drugs as directed and their continued use of those drugs. The increasing body of research linking medication non adherence to unfavorable outcomes and increased healthcare cost has raised concerns among clinicians, healthcare institutions, and other stakeholders. Pharmacovigilance, in which the procedures keeping an eye on the assessing adverse medication reactions, is essential to clinical practice, public health and efficient drug regulating system. Aim of the study was wo study about the role of pharmacist in drug utilization review, medication adherence and pharmacovigilance
