Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a common acid-dependent disease among the population, including children, with multifactorial genesis. It, like many other acid-dependent diseases (peptic ulcer, etc.) is associated with a family predisposition to the disease. Of interest is the study of the role of cytokines in the regulation of pathology in childhood, depending on the severity of a family history of peptic ulcer disease. Aim: to evaluate the levels of cytokines in the blood serum in case of family history of ulcerative diseases in schoolchildren with gastritis associated with GERD. In the course of a scientific study, 142 children with gastroenterological complaints aged 7-17 years were examined. The diagnosis of GERD was made in the presence of weekly heartburn in accordance with the global consensus on pathology in children. All subjects underwent gastroscopy with taking biopsy material from the gastric mucosa and morphological confirmation of their diagnosis of gastritis in accordance with the Sydney classification. The concentration of cytokines in blood serum (IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-18, IL-1β, IFNα, TNFα) was obtained by enzyme immunoassay. During statistical processing, the χ2  and Mann–Whitney tests were used. The studies were approved by the ethics committee and informed consents of patients and their parents were obtained prior to the start of the study. The results of the study did not show significant differences in the concentration of cytokines in schoolchildren depending on the presence of GERD. In children with a family burden of peptic ulcer, GERD was detected more often (p = 0.054), which is probably a consequence of their increased acid formation. Changes in the cytokine profile of the blood were noted. During GERD, with aggravation of peptic ulcer, there was an increase in the replication of IL-4 (p = 0.027) and IFNα (p = 0.001). The increase in blood IFNα in children with GERD with family burden is obviously aimed at enhancing immune responses involving the whole body to damage. This is due to its functional role – participation in the immune response. Increased replication of IL-4, obviously, provides an increase in metabolic, immune processes in the body aimed at optimizing the course of proliferative processes in the esophageal mucosa under conditions of increased secretion of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. Thus, when a family history of peptic ulcer is aggravated in schoolchildren with gastritis associated with GERD, a number of links in the cytokine network (IL-4, IFNα) move to the systemic level of regulation

    Get PDF
The article is concerned with the study of the theoretical and methodological patterns of the genesis of labour relations during evolution of socio-economic systems. The approach developed by the authors makes it possible to single out the basic blocks of the labour relations system, considering the actors and objects of the relations. Adopted as a basis, such an approach makes it possible to describe the labour relations of any economic system. The allocation of mandatory elements (objects) and subjects in the structure of labour relations makes it possible to disclose the content of the category “labour relations”. The relevance of theoretical studies of the characteristics of the economy at a substantial level, the increased interest in the methodology and theory of economic knowledge is due to the inconsistency and alternativeness of the current stage of development of the world economy and global society. For Russian society, such studies are determined by the exceptional complexity of transformation processes and the prospects for its evolution.peer-reviewe

We perform a new, detailed calculation of the hadronic contributions to the running electromagnetic coupling, αˉ\bar{\alpha}, defined on the Z particle (91 GeV). We find for the hadronic contribution, including radiative corrections, 10^5\times \deltav_{\rm had.}\alpha(M_Z^2)= 2740\pm12, or, excluding the top quark contribution, 10^5\times \deltav_{\rm had.}\alpha^{(5)}(M_Z^2)= 2747\pm12. Adding the pure QED corrections we get a value for the running electromagnetic coupling of αˉQ.E.D.(MZ2)=1128.965±0.017.\bar{\alpha}_{\rm Q.E.D.}(M_Z^2)= {{1}\over{128.965\pm0.017}}.Comment: Version to appear in Phys. Get PDF
In connection with the development of transforming the economy, the need for forecasting and analyzing the consequences of managerial decisions becomes more pressing. To substantiate and evaluate such decisions, a tool for prospective analysis of financial statements of companies is used. In recent years, the content and structure of a company's financial statements have undergone significant changes. With the development of economic relations, the principles of organization and methodology of accounting and reporting are also dynamically changing. The issues of reforming financial statements of a company are constantly discussed at international congresses of accountants and other professional forums. The purpose of the study is to improve the concept of preparing financial statements of a company as an information base for taking decisions in a transforming economy. As a result of the research, the economic essence of company's financial statements is substantiated from the point of view of an integrated approach; the importance of financial statements of an organization for effective management is determined; the main financial and non-financial indicators are systematized; it is proposed to introduce a mandatory requirement for disclosure of non-financial indicators in the corporate reporting system; proposals have been elaborated to improve the methods for analyzing financial statements as a tool for managing a company.peer-reviewe

Radiative decays of phi-meson about nature of light scalar resonances

We show on gauge invariance grounds that the fine threshold phenomenon is discovered in the radiative decays phi->gamma a0->gamma pi0 eta and phi->gamma f0->gamma pi0pi0. This enables to conclude that production of the lightest scalar mesons a0(980) and f0(980) in these decays is caused by the four-quark transitions, resulting in strong restrictions on the large NC expansions of the decay amplitudes. The analysis shows that these constraints give new evidences in favor of the four-quark nature of a0(980) and f0(980) mesons.Comment: REVTeX,10 pages, 11 figures, accepted for publication in Nuclear Physics

Precision Determination of the Pion Form Factor and Calculation of the Muon g2g-2

We perform a new calculation of the hadronic contributions, a(Hadronic)a({\rm Hadronic}) to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, aμa_\mu. For the low energy contributions of order α2\alpha^2 we carry over an analysis of the pion form factor Fπ(t)F_\pi(t) using recent data both on e+eπ+πe^+e^-\to\pi^+\pi^- and τ+νˉτπ+π0\tau^+\to \bar{\nu}_\tau \pi^+\pi^0. In this analysis we take into account that the phase of the form factor is equal to that of ππ\pi\pi scattering. This allows us to profit fully from analyticity properties so we can use also experimental information on Fπ(t)F_\pi(t) at spacelike tt. At higher energy we use QCD to supplement experimental data, including the recent measurements of e+ehadronse^+e^-\to {\rm hadrons} both around 1 GeV and near the cˉc\bar{c}c threshold. This yields a precise determination of the O(α2)O(\alpha^2) and O(α2)+O(α3)O(\alpha^2)+O(\alpha^3) hadronic part of the photon vacuum polarization pieces, 1011×a(2)(h.v.p.)=6909±64;1011×a(2+3)(h.v.p.)=7002±6610^{11}\times a^{(2)}({\rm h.v.p.})=6 909\pm64;\quad 10^{11}\times a^{(2+3)}({\rm h.v.p.})=7 002\pm66 As byproducts we also get the masses and widths of the ρ0,ρ+\rho^0, \rho^+, and very accurate values for the charge radius and second coefficient of the pion. Adding the remaining order α3\alpha^3 hadronic contributions we find 1011×atheory(Hadronic)=6993±69(e+e+τ+spacel.)10^{11}\times a^{\rm theory}(\hbox{Hadronic})= 6 993\pm69\quad(e^+e^- + \tau + {\rm spacel.}) The figures given are obtained including τ\tau decay data. This is to be compared with the recent experimental value, 1011×aexp.(Hadronic)=7174±150.10^{11}\times a^{\rm exp.}(\hbox{Hadronic})=7 174\pm150.Comment: Plain TeX file. Published version. The aim is to study the prevalence of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastroduodenal erosions and ulcers and their association with a family predisposition for ulcer disease in Siberian schoolchildren. Material and methods. We have examined schoolchildren aged 7–17 years in three regions of Siberia (Republic of Tyva, Evenkia and Buryatia) in localities identical to their socio-economic level. Data collected using a cross-sectional method using standardized questionnaires on the presence of gastroenterological complaints and information about ulcer disease of relatives in the 1st and 2nd generations in 1535 schoolchildren in Tuva, 790 in Buryatia and 1369 in Evenkia. Diagnosis of GERD was based on the presence of complaints of heartburn, in accordance with international consensus in the pediatric population. We performed gastroscopy randomly method in each region at schoolchildren with gastrointestinal complaints (283 children in Tyva, 110 in Buryatia, 205 in Evenkia). Results. There was an increase in the GERD frequency among Siberian children with anamnesis data on the presence of peptic ulcer in relatives (9.9 and 5.9 %, respectively, p = 0.0025). The most unfavorable situation has been observed in the population of schoolchildren of the Republic of Tuva (10.6 % with a burdened history and 9.3 % without it, p = 0.5389). We have not revealed the significant increase of gastroduodenal erosions and ulcers in children with a poor family history of peptic ulcer disease (12.6 and 10.4 %, respectively, p = 0.5263), including Tuva schoolchildren where they were more often detected. The GERD association with erosive ulcerative process in the mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum was ambiguous and had population (regional) features in schoolchildren with a burdened family history of peptic ulcer disease. Conclusion. Siberian schoolchildren with a family predisposition to peptic ulcer disease have certain regional features in the association of gastroduodenal erosions and ulcers with GERD

Many pion decays of rho(770) and omega(782) mesons in chiral theory

The decays rho(770) to 4 pi and omega(782) to 5pi are considered in detail in the approach based on the Weinberg Lagrangian obtained upon the nonlinear realization of chiral symmetry, added with the term induced by the anomalous Lagrangian of Wess and Zumino. The partial widths and excitation curves of the decays rho^0 to 2 pi^+ 2 pi^-, pi^+ pi^- 2 pi^0, rho^{+-} to 2 pi^{+-} pi^{-+} pi^0, rho^(+-} to pi^(+-} 3 pi^0 are evaluated for e^+e^- annihilation, photoproduction and tau lepton decays. The results of calculations are compared with the recent CMD-2 data on the decay rho^0 to 2 pi^+ 2 pi^- observed in e^+e^- annihilation. The omega to 5 pi decay widths and excitation curves in e^+e^- annihilation are obtained. The angular distributions for various combinations of the final pions in the decays rho to 4 pi and omega to 5 pi are written. The perspectives of the experimental study of the above decays in e^+e^- annihilation, tau lepton decays and photoproduction are discussed.Comment: Revtex, 32 pages including 11 ps figures. Update of the e^+e^-\to\pi^+\pi^- cross section measured by SND detector in the energy region 400<\sqrt{s}<1000 MeV

The corrected cross section of the e^+e^-\to\pi^+\pi^- process measured in the SND experiment at the VEPP-2M e^+e^- collider is presented. The update is necessary due to a flaw in the e^+e^-\to\pi^+\pi^- and e^+e^-\to\mu^+\mu^- Monte Carlo events generators used previously in data analysis.Comment: 10 pages,7 figure
