    THE EFFECT OF ADVANCE ABRASIVE WATERJET CUTTING ON DEFECTIVE WELDED JOINTS AND THEIR MECHANICAL PROPERTIES

    The structure of welding joints of high-strength steel made using abrasive waterjet cutting has been studied using the methods of optical metallography and scanning electron microscopy supplemented with micro-X‑ray spectral analysis. Uniaxial tension and impact bending tests with recording of loading diagrams were carried out on an impact tester. It is established that welding joints have satisfactory strength and toughness. A fractographic analysis of the fracture surface of ruptured and impact samples showed that the revealed defects are irrelevant to the presence of abrasive sand particles in the weld metal and weld-affected zone.Методами оптической металлографии и сканирующей электронной микроскопии, дополненной микрорентгеноспектральным анализом, исследована структура сварных соединений из высокопрочной стали, выполненных с использованием гидроабразивной резки. Проведены испытания на одноосное растяжение и ударный изгиб с записью на инструментированном копре. При фрактографическом исследовании поверхности излома разрывных и ударных образцов выявлены дефекты типа несплавлений и шлаковых включений.     On the use of pure inorganic substances in metrology of analytical measurements

    Analysis revealed, that in the area of chemical composition measurements high-purity substances may be regarded as the best measurement capabilities in the database of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures. Until now none of the countries of the world has the complete collection of high purity substances with evaluated purity level. At the present time the development of high-purity substances with evaluated values of mass fractions of the base substance is intensively going on to ensure metrological traceability to SI units using both primary methods and other instrumental methods of analysis
