Hawking Radiation of an Arbitrarily Accelerating Kinnersley Black Hole: Spin-Acceleration Coupling Effect

The Hawking radiation of Weyl neutrinos in an arbitrarily accelerating Kinnersley black hole is investigated by using a method of the generalized tortoise coordinate transformation. Both the location and temperature of the event horizon depend on the time and on the angles. They coincide with previous results, but the thermal radiation spectrum of massless spinor particles displays a kind of spin-acceleration coupling effect.Comment: 8 pages, no figure, revtex 4.0, revisted version with typesetting errors and misprint correcte

Massive Complex Scalar Field in a Kerr-Sen Black Hole Background: Exact Solution of Wave Equation and Hawking Radiation

    Get PDF
The separated radial part of a massive complex scalar wave equation in the Kerr-Sen geometry is shown to satisfy the generalized spheroidal wave equation which is, in fact, a confluent Heun equation up to a multiplier. The Hawking evaporation of scalar particles in the Kerr-Sen black hole background is investigated by the Damour-Ruffini-Sannan's method. It is shown that quantum thermal effect of the Kerr-Sen black hole has the same characteras that of the Kerr-Newman black hole.Comment: Revtex, 5 pages, no figure, submitted to Phys. Rev.

Research on 2Ă—2 MIMO Channel with Truncated Laplacian Azimuth Power Spectrum

    Get PDF
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) Rayleigh fading channel with truncated Laplacian azimuth power spectrum (APS) is studied. By using the power correlation matrix of MIMO channel model and the modified Jakes simulator, into which with random phases are inserted, the effect of the azimuth spread (AS), angle of departure (AOD) and angle of arrival (AOA) on the spatial correlation coefficient and channel capacity are investigated. Numerical results show that larger AS generates smaller spatial correlation coefficient amplitude, while larger average AOD or AOA produces larger spatial correlation coefficient amplitude. The average capacity variation is comprehensively dominated by the average AOD, AOA and AS

Efficient AUC Optimization for Information Ranking Applications

Adequate evaluation of an information retrieval system to estimate future performance is a crucial task. Area under the ROC curve (AUC) is widely used to evaluate the generalization of a retrieval system. However, the objective function optimized in many retrieval systems is the error rate and not the AUC value. This paper provides an efficient and effective non-linear approach to optimize AUC using additive regression trees, with a special emphasis on the use of multi-class AUC (MAUC) because multiple relevance levels are widely used in many ranking applications. Compared to a conventional linear approach, the performance of the non-linear approach is comparable on binary-relevance benchmark datasets and is better on multi-relevance benchmark datasets.Comment: 12 page
