Wastewater from leather processing, a major industry that produces upto enormous wastewater. The wastewater contains valuable nutrients, but also contaminants, such as salts and chromium (Cr), that might affect soil processes and crop production. The present investigated the different concentrations of tannery effluent on seed germination and seedling growth of ten variety of blackgram (Vigna mungo L.). The results low concentration 10% of tannery waste water promoted the germination, percentage growth, fresh, dry weight of blackgram seedlings, whereas the higher concentration (above 20%) reduced the above all the parameters. The observation also indicates organ specific differences in the growth of seedlings in presence of different concentrations (10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 100%) of tannery effluent

Electrostatic Modulation of the Electronic Properties of Dirac Semimetal Na3Bi

Large-area thin films of topological Dirac semimetal Na3_3Bi are grown on amorphous SiO2_2:Si substrates to realise a field-effect transistor with the doped Si acting as back gate. As-grown films show charge carrier mobilities exceeding 7,000 cm2^2/Vs and carrier densities below 3 ×\times 1018^{18} cm−3^{-3}, comparable to the best thin-film Na3_3Bi. An ambipolar field effect and minimum conductivity are observed, characteristic of Dirac electronic systems. The results are quantitatively understood within a model of disorder-induced charge inhomogeneity in topological Dirac semimetals. Due to the inverted band structure, the hole mobility is significantly larger than the electron mobility in Na3_3Bi, and when present, these holes dominate the transport properties.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures; minor corrections and revisions for readabilit

Comparison of Two Different Earthquake Sources for the 26 December 2004 Aceh Tsunami Simulation

The tsunami wave propagation of the 26 December 2004 Aceh tsunami has been studied by performing a numerical tsunami simulation based on a method that was originally developed by the Tohoku University. The initial model was calculated based on the fault parameters proposed by GFZ Potsdam and Tohoku University. Despite the limitations in the numerical simulation, generally the calculated tsunami heights and arrival times show a relatively good agreement with the observed ones. Based on the simulation it can be estimated that the tsunami wave may reach the west and north coast of northern Sumatra at about 15 to 25 and 20 to 30 minutes after the earthquake, respectively. The maximum calculated tsunami heights in the west and north coast of Aceh were about 11 to 24 and 8 to 15 m, respectively. The calculated arrival times show that the tsunami wave may reach west coast of Thailand and east coast of India and Sri Lanka at about 90 to 100 and 100 to 120 minutes after the earthquake, respectively. The maximum calculated tsunami heights at Phuket of Thailand and Tricomalee of Sri Lanka were about 4 to 5 and 1.5 to 3.5 m, respectively

Indra Mugiono, NIM 1001134918, Monitoring the effectiveness of the Broadcasting License Subscribe Cable Tv By the Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission Riau in Pekanbaru, supervisor : Dr. Harapan Tua R.F.S, M.SiCable TV channels network presence began in the spotlight Dishubkominfo Pekanbaru. Based on data Dishubkominfo none of the cable TV network in Pekanbaru permit the implementation of the cord. Meanwhile Transportation Department officials also met officials technicians were installing cables cable TV networks that do not have an operating license for its cable. Illegal practices immediately rose stopped a team of officers. The development of cable TV in Pekanbaru very rapidly this time we can read in the press that the proliferation of cable TV company in Pekanbaru, with so much needed oversight conducted by the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission of Riau. The theory used as the analysis in this study is Handayanigrat (2005; 32) said that effective supervision can help businesses to organize work in order to conform with the plans related to the problem Effectiveness Monitoring Permits Broadcasting Cable TV Subscription By Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (Commission) Riau in the city of Pekanbaru. The results of this study indicate, Effectiveness Monitoring Cable TV Broadcasting License Subscription by the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission of Riau in Pekanbaru City should be supervised broadcasting license. However, in practice there are still many who do not have cable TV broadcasting license by broadcasting commission Riau. And the factors that influence is a change in the organization, their problems in Riau regional broadcast Commission with regard to the role of independent organizations under the Act, decentralization of power relating to broadcasting legislatio

Analisis Pengaruh Ukuran Perusahaan terhadap Kinerja Intellectual Capital dengan Struktur Kepemilikan sebagai Variabel Moderating

This study aims to empirically examine the effect of firm size on the performance of the role of intellectual capital and ownership structure as a moderating variable in the relationship between firm size and performance of intellectual capital. Ownership structure used in this study is the family ownership structure and institutional ownership strukutur measured using the proportion of the number of shares owned by families and institutions . While firm size is measured by using the total number of company assets and intellectual capital performance is measured using VAIC â„¢ method developed by Pulic (1998 ) .This study used a sample of banking companies listed on the Stock Exchange periode 2007-2011 using purposive sampling method. The data used were obtained from the annual financial statements of banking companies listed on the Stock Exchange. There are 31 companies and 136 observations over the years 2007-2011. The method of analysis used in this study is multiple regression analysis . This method was chosen because all of the data is matrix variable. In the statistical results of the study found that company size does not significantly affect the performance of intellectual capital . However, in this study also found that both the family ownership structure and institutional ownership significantly moderate the relationship between firm size on the performance of intellectual capital
