Chrześcijańska idea wcielenia a koncepcja technologicznej osobliwości

The article discusses the role that the Christian idea of incarnation can play in the discourse on the perspective assumed by the post-human society, especially where it concerns the integration of minds in the technological singularity. Incarnation is the ideological foundation of transhumanism both in its communal dimension – as in the concept of the union of believers in the Mystical Body of Christ – and in the individual dimension of the divinization of the human person. The technological singularity understood as the pinnacle of human evolution, a point at which the integration of technology and organismal biology will take place, becomes a modern substitute for the incarnation of the Son of God and the hopes that believers place in the Christian dogma. In this way, transhumanism sets goals similar to those of Christianity, but promises to achieve them by different, that is, technological means.Artykuł podejmuje kwestię roli chrześcijańskiej idei wcielenia w dyskursie dotyczącym perspektywy społeczeństwa postludzkiego, zwłaszcza zaś integracji umysłów w technologicznej osobliwości. Wcielenie w swoim wymiarze wspólnotowym, jak choćby koncepcja zjednoczenia wiernych w Mistycznym Ciele Chrystusa, czy indywidualnym wymiarze przebóstwienia człowieka stanowi ideowy fundament transhumanizmu. Technologiczna osobliwość rozumiana jako szczytowy punkt ewolucji człowieka, w którym dokona się integracja technologii i biologii organizmu staje się współczesnym substytutem wcielenia Syna Bożego i nadziei, które wierzący pokładają w tym dogmacie. Dialogiczny wymiar filozofii sztuki Hansa-Georga Gadamera

The article presents the results of research on the relationship between the philosophy of art by Hans-Georg Gadamer and the philosophy of dialogue. Play, symbol and festival are the three concepts of key importance to Gadamer's thought that Gadamer used in his ontology of works of art and that undergo analysis. Reinterpreted from the perspective of the philosophy of dialogue, the three categories reveal unique characteristics of Gadamer's hermeneutics: the striving to preserve the view of the other in dialogue; the role of ethics in interpersonal communication; the elitism of the dialogical relationship as well as a critique of the ideas of wholeness and totality. Thus, aesthetic experience appears as the pattern of the relationship between You and I.Artykuł prezentuje rezultat badania związków filozofii sztuki Hansa-Georga Gadamera z filozofią dialogu. Poddane zostały analizie trzy kluczowe dla jego myśli pojęcia – gry, symbolu i święta, którymi posłużył się w swojej ontologii dzieła sztuki. Phenomenology of diphoton photoproduction at next-to-leading order

We develop the analysis of diphoton exclusive photoproduction in the kinematics where a collinear QCD factorization framework applies, namely nearly forward large invariant mass diphoton production. We work at the leading twist level and at the next-to-leading order (NLO) in the strong coupling constant $\alpha_S$. We compare our predictions for cross-sections with Born order calculations for the experimental conditions accessible to JLab experiments and show the interesting sensitivity of our results to various models of generalized parton distributions (GPDs). The NLO corrections are rather large and negative but do not prevent the studied reaction from being a promising tool for the extraction of C-dd GPDs, which do not contribute to either spacelike or timelike deeply virtual Compton scattering amplitudes

Collins and Sivers asymmetries in muonproduction of pions and kaons off transversely polarised protons

Measurements of the Collins and Sivers asymmetries for charged pions and charged and neutral kaons produced in semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering of high energy muons off transversely polarised protons are presented. The results were obtained using all the available COMPASS proton data, which were taken in the years 2007 and 2010. The Collins asymmetries exhibit in the valence region a non-zero signal for pions and there are hints of non-zero signal also for kaons. The Sivers asymmetries are found to be positive for positive pions and kaons and compatible with zero otherwise. © 2015

Exclusive meson production at COMPASS

In this paper we summarize recent measurements of exclusive meson production performed by the COMPASS Collaboration. In particular, recent results on the transverse target spin asymmetries for exclusive r 0 production are presented. Some of these asymmetries are sensitive to the GPDs E , which are related to the orbital angular momentum of quarks. Other asymmetries are sensitive to the chiral-odd, transverse GPDs H T . Lack of Plasma-like Screening Mechanism in Sedimentation of a Non-Brownian Suspension

We investigate qualitatively a uniform non-Brownian sedimenting suspension in a stationary state. As a base of our analysis we take the BBGKY hierarchy derived from the Liouville equation. We then show that assumption of the plasma-like screening relations can cancel some long-range terms in the hierarchy but it does not provide integrable solutions for correlation functions. This suggests breaking the translational symmetry of the system. Therefore a non-uniform structure can develop to suppress velocity fluctuations and make the range of correlations finite
