This research was conducted with the aim of examining the utilization of bintaro fruit extract (Cerbera odollam Gaertn.) as a traditional medicine that meets quality standards, so that the extract standardization process was carried out by determining specific and non-specific parameters.Based on the enormous potential of the Bintaro plant as a natural ingredient that can be used as traditional medicine, it is necessary to standardize the Bintaro fruit extract to determine the quality and safety of the extract raw materials used to support health. The research was conducted by determining the standardization of data on the determination of specific and non-specific parameters. The specific parameters that have been carried out include the identity of the extract, organoleptic test, the content of water soluble compounds 19.7%, the content of ethanol soluble compounds 6.96%, the content of positive extract compounds containing alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, tannins and saponins. Non-specific parameters that have been carried out include drying shrinkage of 0.197%, moisture content of 2.124%, total ash content of 3.65%, acid soluble ash content of 1.3%, metal contamination of Pb and Cd 0.02 µg/g, microbial contamination of ALT bacteria. 0 colonies and 20 colonies of yeast. The results of the study met the standardization of extract quality. The data that will be obtained is expected to be additional information about the ethanolic extract of bintaro fruit (Cerbera odollam Gaertn.) that meets quality standards as traditional medicine, so as to maintain consistency and uniformity of efficacy and keep active compounds consistently measurable between treatments, and can maintain safety on consumers

Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) is one plant producing bioactive essential oil. This research aims to determine the percentage yield of extracts and GC-MS analysis of chemical compound profiles of lemon grass with various extraction methods. Lemongrass bioactive compounds are extracted using maceration, ultrasonic, and distillation. The highest percentage extract yield was from maceration extraction, namely 14.83%, ultrasonic extraction was 4.68%, and distillation extraction was 6.00%. The GC-MS results showed that the secondary metabolite compounds resulting from maceration, ultrasonic, and distillation contained geraniol, citronellal, and citronellol. The citronella compound group was obtained with the highest percentage from distillation extraction at 14.83%, followed by ultrasonic extraction at 2.23% and maceration extraction at 0.37%

Kecombrang (Etlingera elatior Jack.) is one of the plants growing in the area of Palopo, South Sulawesi. Kecombrang included in the Zingiberaceae family and rhizome of kecombrang widely used by the community as an antioxidant. This research aimed to determine the phenolic content on the methanol extract of the rhizome kecombrang. Methanol extract of rhizhome kecombrang obtained by maceration method with methanol P. Chemical component analysis used thin layer chromatography (TLC) is characterized by the appearance of spot. Determination of the phenolic content of the methanol extract of rhizomes kecombrang used the TLC-densitometry. The results showed that the phytochemical assay on methanol extract of kecombrang rhizomes positively countains 144.43 µg phenolic compounds

Bintaro Leaf (Cerbera odollam Gaertn) contains alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins and tannins that have the potential as larvicides. The study aimed to determine the mortality rate of Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae after administration of Bintaro leaf extract as indicated by the LC50 value. The extract was obtained by maceration method. The yield of Bintaro Leaf (Cerbera odollam Gaertn)extract was 6.03%. This study used 180 mosquito larvae (Aedes aegypti) instar III, divided into test solutions made with 4 concentrations (10,000 ppm, 1000 ppm, 100 ppm and 50 ppm), positive control using Abate and negative control using Aquadest. Observations were made after 24 hours of treatment. The results of the larvacide test showed that the Bintaro leaf extract was effective as a larvicidal as indicated by the LC50 value of 21.170 g/mL 1000 g/mL.
