A carta de Bruges e a tradição do conselho aos reis

O mais importante “escrito d’avisamento??? ético-político do século XV português é, sem dúvida alguma, a famosa “carta de Bruges??? (c.1426), escrita por D. Pedro, duque de Coimbra, para seu irmão D. Duarte, herdeiro do trono régio. D. Pedro propõe uma série de reformas, cujo âmbito fortemente pragmático recobre os domínios temporais e espirituais. Tudo isso se faz a partir do empreendimento das virtudes cardeais (fortaleza, justiça, temperança, prudência) em perfeita conformidade com o princípio central da “honestidade???, argumento central do pensamento ciceroniano e da ortodoxia católica. Abstract The most famous ethical-political “escrito d’avisamento??? in the XVe century in Portugal is the “carta de Bruges??? (c.1426), written by D. Pedro, duke of Coimbra, to his brother D. Duarte, heir of Portuguese crown. D. Pedro gives a large number of political advices in order to reform both the secular and spiritual domains. Comparative efficacy of chlorophyllin in reducing cytotoxicity of some heavy metals

The potential of chlorophyllin in reducing clastogenicity was studied against two concentrations of each of three potent metallic clastogens (cesium chloride, mercuric chloride and cobalt chloride) in bone marrow cells of mice in vivo. The respective salts and chlorophyllin were administered orally to mice by gavaging in different combinations. Simultaneous administration of chlorophyllin with both concentrations of each salt reduced the clastogenic effects in the order Cs>Hg >Co. Chlorophyllin could not decrease the clastogenic effects when administered 2 h before the salts
