THE EFFECT OF EXTENSIVE READING ON THE STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION AT THE TENTH GRADE OF SMA DAARUL MUTTAQIEN TANGERANG IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2019/2020

AbstractThe aim of this research was to know a significant effect of extensive reading on the students’ reading comprehension at the tenth grade of SMA Daarul Muttaqien Tangerang. This research used quantitative method, 71 students as the sample which taken by using quasi experimental research and non-equivalent control group design. Students’ test and questionnaires were used by the writer to collect the data. The hypothesis data was tested using formula t-test, it was known that in experimental class and control class indicated with Ha was accepted its mean that there was an effect of using extensive reading on the students’ reading comprehension at the Tenth grade of SMA Daarul Muttaqien Tangerang, in experimental class the students were focused and had a big spirit in learning reading using extensive reading they were could gave a summary of the reading text with good structure and done the instrument correctly during the learning process. Based on the percentages students’ post-test showed that students’ reading comprehension was better than before. Moreover, this research also found that students’ learning motivation was very good and the students in experimental class were more active in reading using extensive reading during learning process.Keywords: quantitative method; extensive reading; reading comprehensio

The Use of PTP Online about Teacher Written Feedback to Enhances Students’ Understanding in Writing Skills

The aim of this research was to know whether there is significant effect of The Use of Peer-To-Peer (PTP) Online about Teacher Written Feedback to Enhances Students’ Understanding in Writing Skills at Second Semester Grade of English Language Education Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Universitas Islam Syekh-Yusuf Tangerang. This research is quantitative method, 26 students as the sample which taken nonrandom by using quasi experimental research-time series design. Students’ test and questionnaires were used by the researcher to collect the data. Based on hypotheses testing by using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test, it is shown that sig (0.000) is smaller than 0.05. This knows that the hypotheses (Ho) was rejected and the hypotheses (Ha) was accepted. It means that, there was significant difference used Peer-to-Peer Online about Teacher Written Feedback to Enhances Students’ Understanding in writing skill at the second semester grade of English Language Education Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Universitas Islam Syekh-Yusuf Tangerang, because the condition of students’ were same proficiency, had concentration, focused, and students in experimental class had many opinions during the learning. THE APPLICATION OF EDMODO TO IMPROVE WRITING SKILL

The purpose of this experimental study is to investigate the effect of using Edmodo to improve English writing skill by using Edmodo and Traditional method. This experiment was implemented to the senior high school students with two classes, two hours per week, over 3 meetings. Seventy two students participated in this study, with 36 students in the experimental class and 36 others in the control class. The researcher applied pretest and posttest in writing skill with quasi-experimental design. The experimental class was treated learning used Emodo method, whereas the control class received learning used traditional method. The data was analyzed by means, standard deviations, and man u Whitney. Statistical results revealed that the experimental group did much better than the control class. But, in using Edmodo on learning English language there is no significant effect to the class which was treated using Edmodo on improving writing skill at the tenth grade students of SMAN 13 Kabupaten Tangerang. Quizlet as Learning Media to Enhance Students’ Vocabulary Mastery and Motivation in Learning English

Enhancing motivation is essential for students in acquiring English vocabulary. The higher motivation the students gain, the bigger success they achieve in mastering vocabulary. However, the majority of students in senior high schools are less motivated to increase their vocabulary mastery. Therefore, the teachers must find the right media that will increase student motivation. Certain applications for vocabulary study can be accessed via a smartphone. The goal of the research is to investigate into the usefulness of using the Quizlet application as a tool to enhance the motivation of learners to learn vocabulary. This type of research is Quasi-Experimental with quantitative methods. The researcher used multiple choice tests and questionnaire. The participants were 72 students who were divided into the experimental and the control groups. In processing the data, the independent samples t-tests used to collect the data. The findings indicate that using the Quizlet Application to enhance students' motivation in learning vocabulary is helpful. Students were more enthusiastic, did not get bored fast, and as a result showed a high level of interest when learning vocabulary with Quizlet

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF KURIKULUM MERDEKA IN ENGLISH SUBJECT AT SDIT AL-KAUTSAR KOTA TANGERANG

The purpose of this study is to know how the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka in English subject at SDIT AL-Kautsar Kota Tangerang. This research used descriptive qualitative method to know how the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka on learning and the approach between teachers and students at SDIT AL-Kautsar. The object of this research is English teacher and 6 students' consisting of 4 male students and 2 female students at SDIT AL Kautsar Kota Tangerang. According to the data obtained by interview with teacher and students'. The findings of the data analysis show that Kurikulum Merdeka is very good for teacher and students that makes students more active in the classroom and easier to understand the learning material provided by the teacher. Therefore, teachers and students strongly support the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka at SDIT AL Kautsar, because it can make students and teachers more active and there are no boundaries between teachers and student

PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DI SEKOLAH DASAR KECAMATAN TELUK NAGA KABUPATEN TANGERANG

Pendidikan karakter telah dilaksanakan di lingkungan sekolah, mulai dari tingkat sekolah usia dini sampai tingkat lanjutan atas, dimana pendidikan karakter ini dimasukkan dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar (KBM). Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada dua nilai pendidikan karakter yaitu; religius dan disiplin. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dan tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi penerapan dua nilai pendidikan karakter dalam mata pelajaran dan budaya sekolah di sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Teluk Naga Kabupaten Tangerang. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 5 SDN di Kecamatan Teluk Naga Kabupaten Tangerang, yaitu satu SDN di setiap desa yang meliputi SDN di Desa Kampung Melaya Barat, Muara, Teluk Naga, Pangkalan, dan Kampung Besar. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, kelima SDN di Kecamatan Teluk Naga Kabupaten Tangerang telah menerapkan nilai religius dan disiplin dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan budaya sekolah dengan baik. Penerapan nilai ini dapat dilaksanakan pada kegiatan pendahuluan, inti, dan penutup pada saat kegiatan belajar mengajar (KBM). Kemudian, pelaksanaan nilai religius dan disiplin dapat dilaksanakan melalui budaya sekolah, yaitu dengan memfasilitasi siswa melakukan kegiatan rutin, memberikan keteladanan, dan pengkondisian. Character building has been carried out in the school environment, from early childhood to higher education. This study focuses on two character education values namely religious and discipline. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, and the purpose of this study was to identify the application of two values of character education in the subjects and school culture in elementary school in Teluk Naga District, Tangerang Regency. The number of samples in this research are five public elementary schools (SDN) in Teluk Naga District of Tangerang Regency, it includes one school of each village; SDN in Kampung Melaya Barat, Muara, Teluk Naga, Pangkalan, and Kampung Besar. Based on the research that has been conducted, the five schools have well applied religious and discipline values in learning activities and school culture. The implementation of these values can be carried out in opening, core, and closing activities during teaching and learning activities. Moreover, the implementation of religious and discipline values can also be implemented through the school culture, that is by facilitating students to do routine activities, becoming paragons of virtue, and conditioning

KEGIATAN AKSI STOP STUNTING DI KAMPUNG RAWACANA KELURAHAN GANDASARI KOTA TANGERANG

Stunting atau terhambatnya proses tumbuh kembang pada anak adalah masalah kesehatan global dimana memerlukan perhatian serius. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat di kampung Rawacana Kelurahan Gandasari Kota Tangerang menekankan pada peran kunci ibu dalam memastikan asupan gizi yang cukup selama kehamilan dan menyusui serta pengelolaan gizi dalam rumah tangga dimana mampu mendukung pertumbuhan anak. Diharapkan kegiatan Aksi Stop Stunting ini berguna bagi praktisi kesehatan, peneliti, dan masyarakat dalam upaya bersamaa pencegahan stunting untuk memastikan masa depan yang sehat bagi generasi mendatang. An Analysis of Information Technology-Based Educational Human Resource Development Strategies at the Higher Education Level

This qualitative study aimed to analyze information technology-based educational human resource development strategies at the higher education level at Kutai Kartanegara University. The study utilized an exploratory and descriptive research design, employing interviews and document analysis as data collection methods. The participants included vital administrators, faculty members, and students from various departments within the university. The findings revealed that information technology was crucial in shaping educational human resource development strategies at Kutai Kartanegara University. The university has implemented various IT-based initiatives to enhance teaching and learning experiences, improve administrative processes, and foster professional development among faculty members. Regarding teaching and learning, the university has integrated various IT tools and platforms into the curriculum, such as learning management systems, multimedia resources, and virtual classrooms. These initiatives provided students with flexible learning opportunities, interactive course materials, and collaborative spaces for knowledge exchange. Moreover, the university has implemented IT-based professional development programs for faculty members, including training workshops, online resources, and communities of practice. The findings provide valuable insights for educational institutions seeking to leverage IT to enhance their human resource development strategies at the higher education level.
