    THE DEVELOPMENT OF COLLABORATION COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND METACOGNITIVE OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING VOCATIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAM

    This study tries to achieve two major purposes, the development and experiment. The development within this study aims at developing learning instrument. In addition, this study also aims at discovering the influence of learning instrument developed on the students’ communication skill, discovering the collaboration skill of students, revealing the effect of learning instrument on the metacognition ability of students, revealing the effect of learning instrument on the Fabrication conceptual understanding of students. This study employed Four D Model and the experiment design was used quasi-experiment with non-equivalent control group design. The data analysis data of this study employed descriptive analysis and covariant analysis or Anakova. The findings of this study reveal that the learning instrument developed based on scientific approach is effective to enhance the communication skill, collaboration skill, metacognition ability, and fabrication conceptual understanding of the Mechanical Engineering Vocational Program Students of UNESA Surabaya. Considering that communication skill, collaboration skill, metacognition ability are imperative in recent days, therefore it is suggested to utilize this learning instrument during Fabrication Practice Learning as well as evaluating the instrument to generate an improved instrument.   Article visualizations

    Pengembangan Employability Skills Siswa Smk Ditinjau dari Implementasi Pendekatan Saintifik

    The industry now needs a workforce that has the technical skills and employability skills. Completion of the CMS so that students have a technical skill and employability skills based on a scientific approach to implementation that is one indicator of the quality of learning. This research aims to know the contribution of the scientific approach towards implementation of employability skills the students of SMK Package Engineering Machining in South Sulawesi. Research using quantitative non experimental design approach is the type of survey that is ex-post facto. Pupulasi research is a grade XII Package Engineering Machining on SMK in South Sulawesi as much as 503 students with samples of 221. Data collection techniques used are the now. Research data were analyzed with descriptive analysis, comfirmatory factor analysis (CFA), regression analysis. The data analysis was done with the help of SPSS software version 4.5 for Windows and version of LISREL 9.10 Windows Application. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the implementation of the scientific approach contributes to employability skills students of SMK Package Engineering Machining in South Sulawesi. Therefore it can be said that the implementation of the scientific approach as a system of learning can develop employability skills graduates SMK.Industri saat ini membutuhkan tenaga kerja yang memiliki keterampilan teknis dan employability skill. Penyiapan siswa SMK agar memiliki keterampilan teknis dan employability skills berpangkal pada implementasi pendekatan saintifik yang merupakan salah satu indikator kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi implementasi pendekatan saintifik terhadap employability skills siswa SMK Paket Keahlian Teknik Pemesinan di Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif rancangan non eksperimen jenis survey yang bersifat ex-post facto. Pupulasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII Paket Keahlian Teknik Pemesinan pada SMK di Sulawesi Selatan sebanyak 503 siswa dengan sampel sebesar 221. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif, comfirmatory factor analysis (CFA),analisis regresi. Analisis datanya dilakukan dengan bantuan software SPSS versi 20.0 for Windows dan LISREL versi 9.10 Windows Application. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi pendekatan saintifik berkontribusi terhadap employability skills siswa SMK Paket Keahlian Teknik Pemesinan di Sulawesi Selatan. Oleh karena itu dapat dikatakan bahwa implementasi pendekatan saintifik sebagai sistem pembelajaran dapat mengembangkan employability skill lulusan SMK

    Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Berbasis Cooperative Learning dengan Pendekatan Saintifik untuk Siswa Smk Se-kota Malang Program Keahlian Teknik Ototronik

    This study was carried out to produce a product in the form of teaching materials as well as products supporting teaching materials in the form groupsheet, photoviewer and learning scenarios to support cooperative learning-based scientific approach also investigated how it impacts the learning process in vocational programs ototronik engineering expertise throughout the city of Malang. This study uses the stages of R & D Borg & Gall to make a product, while researching the effect researchers used a quantitative approach to experimental research methods. The samples used were 66 students of class XI, consisting of 37 students as an experimental group and 29 students as a control group. Product validation phase carried out by seven lecturers of Mechanical Engineering, State University of Malang, 2 teachers SMKN 6 Malang Malang and SMK 10 and 25 students SMKN 6 and SMKN 10 Malang. Product testing conducted by some experts that consists of content expert, instructional design experts, media learning expert and small group trial. Based on product testing data obtained from experts such that learning products developed at the level of valid and fit for use as a learning product while in testing the effects of product USAge in learning by the student data showed that the products developed significant effect on learning outcomes and effective for use.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa bahan ajar serta produk pendukung bahan ajar berbentuk groupsheet, photoviewer, dan skenario pembelajaran untuk mendukung pembelajaran kooperatif berbasis pendekatan saintifik juga meneliti bagaimana pengaruhnya dalam proses pembelajaran di SMK pada program keahlian teknik ototronik se-kota Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan tahap-tahap penelitian R&D Borg & Gall untuk membuat produk, sedangkan untuk meneliti pengaruhnya peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian eksperimen. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 66 siswa kelas XI, yang terdiri atas 37 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 29 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Tahap validasi produk dilaksanakan oleh 7 orang dosen Teknik Mesin Universitas Negeri Malang, 2 orang guru SMKN 6 Malang dan SMKN 10 Malang serta 25 orang siswa SMKN 6 dan SMKN 10 Malang. Pengujian produk dilakukan oleh beberapa ahli yang terdiri atas ahli isi materi, ahli perancangan pembelajaran, ahli media pembelajaran, dan uji coba kelompok kecil. Berdasarkan pengujian produk diperoleh data dari ahli-ahli tersebut bahwa produk pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berada pada level valid dan layak digunakan sebagai produk pembelajaran, sedangkan dalam pengujian pengaruh penggunaan produk dalam pembelajaran oleh siswa diperoleh data bahwa produk yang dikembangkan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar dan efektif untuk digunakan

    Kontribusi Dukungan Orang Tua, Penguasaan Pengetahuan Dasar, Dan Motivasi Berprestasi Terhadap Pencapaian Kompetensi Kejuruan

    Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kontribusi dari variabel dukungan orang tua (X1), penguasaan pengetahuan dasar (X2), dan motivasi berprestasi (Y) terhadap pencapaian kompetensi kejuruan (Z).Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis jalur.Subjek penelitiannya adalah peserta didik Program Keahlian Teknik Ototronik SMK Negeri 1 Singosari Malang.Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dan tes.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kontribusi dukungan orang tua dan penguasaan pengetahuan dasar terhadap pencapaian kompetensi kejuruan secara langsung sebesar 22,27% dan 8,29%; dan secara tidak langsung atau terlebih dahulu melalui motivasi berprestasi sebesar 23% dan 15,76%
