    Borrowing Technique in the Translation of Bali Live Magazine Into Indonesian

    This research was intended to describe the borrowing techniquesin the translation. The title of this research is Borrowing Technique in the Translation of Bali Live Magazine into Indonesian.The analysis focused on the borrowing techniques used to render foreign elements into Indonesian language in a printed advertisement.The data in this analysis were cited and grouped based on the borrowing techniques used to translate the source language into the target language using the borrowing technique proposed by Molina &Albir (2000:84). In this analysis, the borrowing technique used to translate the source language into the target language included two borrowing techniques, namely: (1) full absorption of words without any modification of pronunciation (pure borrowing), (2) the implementation of naturalized borrowing technique indicating a modification of pronunciation (referred to EYD)

    Attitudes Toward the Use of Internet for Students

    In this era, the internet has become the main media utilized by many people. In Indonesia, teenagers use the internet to find some information related to school, work, and lifestyle. The Internet makes a range of distance and time is no longer an obstacle in obtaining information. It can be accessed in every place and every time. However, if the teenagers do not use the internet wisely or they use it to find some negative contents on websites, it will result in negative impacts on them. This study aimed at investigating some attitudes toward the use of the internet for students. The samples of the study were students in SMA N 1 Kediri. The method used was a survey by asking the students to fill out a questionnaire. The findings show that most of the students give a positive attitude toward the use of the internet for students. Most of them argue that crimes will be decreased if the students used the internet wisely. Also, there will be many creative ideas initiated by students for the development of this country.   &nbsp

    An Analysis of Students Motivation Toward English Learning as Second Language Among Students in Pritchard English Academy (PEACE)

    This research aimed at investigating the students\u27 motivation in English learning as a second language. The method used was a survey by randomly asking the students in Pritchard English Academy (PEACE) to fill out a questionnaire which adapted from Attitude Motivation Test Battery (AMTB) designed by R.C. Gardner. The questionnaire was administered to a group of 30 students who come from intermediate until advanced level. The data were analyzed by using SPPS program. It was used to find out mean score and standard deviation. The main findings show that the students are relative “highly” motivated and found to be slightly more “instrumentally” motivated to learn English. This reveals that instrumental motivation is a significant factor among this group of students learning English. Based on this study\u27s findings, some relevant and useful motivational learning implications are recommended for enhancement and improvement of the students\u27 motivation

    Implementation of Animation Digital Literacy Culture-based English Teaching and the Use of Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) at SMAN 1 Blahbatuh

    SMAN 1 Blahbatuh is one of public schools in Bali that has complete and adequate facilities to support teaching and learning activities. The school also has experienced and supportive teachers who are experts on their field. However, during observation found that some teachers do not familiar with state-of-the-art technology for teaching and learning activities. That case leads to ineffective online lesson where the teachers are expected to use various technology in order to support the lessons. This is a challenge faced by SMAN 1 Blahbatuh in implementing online learning on this pandemic situation. To overcome this problem, training related to the implementing “Animation” Digital Literacy culture-based as an online learning media had been carried out. This training implements “Animation” Digital Literacy through Culture-Based English Teaching. In addition, a training on the use of Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) in online teaching was also carried out, to further maximize the use of online media in the lessons. The training was held for two days involving 11 teachers to take part into it. In this training, they were given a workshop to create 'animated' media that aims to attract students' interest in learning and improve their literacy.&nbsp

    Translation of Krsna Text and Ideology

    The recent interest in the relation between translation and ideology led to the following research based on the translation of Krsna text. The Indian short story for Krsna; The Supreme Personality of Godhead and its translation for Krsna: Personalitas Tuhan Yang Maha Esa (English to Indonesia) to highlight how the translation ideology applied in transferring the meaning of emotions. If external influences cannot be avoided, a translation should respect its main scope of being the source for a cultural change. Therefore, the two questions that have eventually to be answered are how does the translation ideology related to the word of emotions in the common culture reader.     The Use of Persuasive Sentences for the Tourism Industry

    The use of imperative sentences is very important especially in attracting customers for any business. Especially for the business in the tourism industry how to attract customers is very important. That is why this research is very important to be conducted therefore the people who have I have businesses in the tourism industries know how to attract people using the imperative sentences in their website. The research will divide the imperative sentences into rationalization, identification, giving advice, confirmation, compensation, projection, and a replacement found on the website of the hotels and resorts in the village of Kenderan. It is found out that the hotels and resorts in the Village use these sentences to attract more visitors to stay in their hotel or resort. So it is suggested that the business owner, especially the owner of the hotels and feel like in this village. Keep using imperative sentences on the other website to attract more customers. For example, the technique of rationalization is very useful to attract more customers because the customer feels that they can feel or they image in the situation that they will have if they stay in the resort
