    Path integral action and exact renormalization group dualities for quantum systems in noncommutative plane

    We employ the path integral approach developed in [29] to discuss the (generalized) harmonic oscillator in a noncommutative plane. The action for this system is derived in the coherent state basis with additional degrees of freedom. From this the action in the coherent state basis without any additional degrees of freedom is obtained. This gives the ground state spectrum of the system.     Analytic study of properties of holographic superconductors away from the probe limit

    In this paper, based on the Sturm-Liouville eigenvalue approach, we analytically investigate the properties of holographic superconductors in the background of pure Einstein and Gauss-Bonnet gravity taking into account the backreaction of the spacetime. Higher value of the backreaction parameter results in a harder condensation to form in both cases. The analytical results obtained are found to be in good agreement with the existing numerical results.Comment: 9 pages Late

    Black hole thermodynamics and generalized uncertainty principle with higher order terms in momentum uncertainty

    In this paper we study the modification of thermodynamic properties of Schwarzschild and Reissner-Nordstr\"{o}m black hole in the framework of generalized uncertainty principle with correction terms upto fourth order in momentum uncertainty. The mass-temperature relation and the heat capacity for these black holes have been investigated. These have been used to obtain the critical and remnant masses. The entropy expression using this generalized uncertainty principle reveals the area law upto leading order logarithmic corrections and subleading corrections of the form 1An\frac{1}{A^n}. The mass output and radiation rate using Stefan-Boltzmann law have been computed which show deviations from the standard case and the case with the simplest form for the generalized uncertainty principle.Comment: 13 pages, 3 figures, To be appeared in Advances in High Energy Physic

    Higher dimensional holographic superconductors in Born-Infeld electrodynamics with backreaction

    In this paper, we analytically investigate the properties of holographic superconductors in higher dimensions in the framework of Born-Infeld electrodynamics taking into account the backreaction of the spacetime using the Sturm-Liouville eigenvalue method. In the background of pure Einstein and Gauss-Bonnet gravity, based on a perturbative approach, we obtain the relation between the critical temperature and the charge density. Higher value of the backreaction and Born-Infeld parameters result in a harder condensation to form in both cases. The analytical results are found to agree with the existing numerical results. We also derive an expression for the condensation operator in dd-dimensions which yields the critical exponent to be 1/21/2.Comment: 21 pages Latex, To appear in Eur.Phys.J.
