4-{[(1,3-Benzothiazolium-2-yl)hydrazono](phenyl)methyl}-3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-olate monohydrate
The title compound, C24H19N5OS·H2O, was synthesized by the reaction of 4-benzoyl-3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazol-5-one and 2-hydrazino-1,3-benzothiazole. Proton transfer leads to the formation of a zwitterionic structure and the molecule exists in the enolate form. The pyrazolone ring makes dihedral angles of 35.4 (3), 69.7 (3) and 40.1 (3)° with the 1-phenyl, indirectly bound phenyl and benzothiazole ring systems, respectively. The molecules are linked into one-dimensional chains by a combination of N—H⋯O, O—H⋯N and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds

The title compound, C19H17NO5, was synthesized as part of a continuing project involving the structures of oxazolone derivatives. The molecule adopts a Z configuration about the central olefinic bond. The 2-phenyl ring is slightly twisted out of the plane of the oxazolone ring system by 11.2 (2)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds
Heavy Metals Migration in Soil in Tailing Dam Region of Shuikoushan, Hunan Province, China
AbstractThe nonferrous mining industry in China has been exploiting rich domestic mineral resources in order to sustain rapidly economic and social development. The paper chooses the tailing dam region as the research object in the Shuikoushan, and researches the distribution of Pb, Zn, Cu, Cd, As, Cr, which reveals heavy metal migration regularities in layers from new and old tailing dam region. In addition, this article focuses on making the research of Potential Ecological Risk Index appraisal to the heavy metal contamination level. The results showed that the concentrations of heavy metals in old tailing dam region were much higher than those of in the new tailing dam region. As well, the concentrations of most heavy metal reduced progressively with the soil depth increasing for the new tailing dam region, while the change tendency was inversely for the old one. Potential ecological risk index showed that the potential ecological risks were at low and low to moderate level in tailing dam region

The title compound, C25H28O7, was prepared by the base-catalysed reaction of 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzaldehyde with cyclopentanone. The molecule has crystallographic twofold rotation symmetry and adopts an E-configuration about the central olefinic bonds. The two benzene rings and the central cyclopentanone ring are almost coplanar [dihedral angle = 4.7 (2)°]
Modulation of Serum Antinuclear Antibody Levels by Levamisole Treatment in Patients With Oral Lichen Planus
Background/PurposeSerum autoantibodies, including antinuclear antibodies (ANAs), have been found in patients with oral lichen planus (OLP). This study evaluated whether Taiwanese OLP patients had significantly higher frequencies of serum ANAs than healthy control subjects, and whether levamisole treatment could modulate the antibody levels.MethodsThis study used an indirect immunofluorescence technique to measure the baseline serum levels of ANA in a group of 583 Taiwanese OLP patients and 53 healthy control subjects. Seventy-nine ANA-positive OLP patients were treated with levamisole under a regular follow-up schedule in our dental clinic, and their serum ANA levels were measured after treatment.ResultsWe found that the frequencies of serum ANA in patients with OLP (23.2%), erosive OLP (EOLP, 23.8%), major EOLP (31.5%), and minor EOLP (18.1%) were all significantly higher than that (5.7%) in healthy control subjects. In addition, major EOLP patients had a significantly higher serum ANA positive rate than minor EOLP or non-erosive OLP patients. Of 135 ANA-positive OLP patients, 79 were treated with levamisole under a regular follow-up schedule. We found that treatment with levamisole for a period of 2–38 months (mean, 12 ± 9 months) effectively reduced the high mean serum ANA titer (557 ± 98) at baseline to an undetectable level (0) in all ANA-positive OLP patients, regardless of different high initial serum titers of ANA.ConclusionThere was a significantly higher frequency of serum ANA (23.2%) in Taiwanese OLP patients than in healthy control subjects. Treatment with levamisole for 2–38 months reduced the high serum ANA to an undetectable level, and significantly improved the signs and symptoms in all treated OLP patients
