The Catalytic Asymmetric Knoevenagel Condensation

Dynamic kinetic resolution in the reaction of α‐branched aldehydes with malonates in the presence of a newly designed and readily available modified cinchona amine catalyst gives the corresponding alkylidene malonates in high enantioselectivity (see scheme)
