CONCERNING CHAIN GROWTH SPECIFIC REACTION RATE AS A PART OF THE PROCESS OF METHYL METHACRYLATE MASS RADICAL POLYMERIZATION

    Get PDF
It is the chain growth specific reaction rate that was determined for the process of methyl methacrylate mass radical polymerization within the temperature range of 40–900 С in quasi-steady approximation by means of Monte Carlo method. The theoretical model of radical polymerization was developed taking the gel effect into account. Computer software was developed that enables to imitate radical polymerization process taking gel effect into account within the minimum run time. The programme was tested on asymptotic examples as well as was applied for methyl methacrylate mass radical polymerization. The programme makes it possible to calculate monomer conversion, molecular mass variation, molecular-mass distribution, etc

Small business development and resource use in Russian regions

Relevance. The living standards in any country largely depend on how developed is this country’s business sector. The latter, in its turn, relies on the availability and efficient use of resources. The problem that arises in this respect and that this study seeks to address is how to measure the resource potential available for the development of small businesses in order to choose the optimal strategy of stimulating this sector for this or that region.Research objective. The aim of this research is to study resources available to small businesses and their use in Russian regions.Data and methods. The set of indicators used in our analysis helps us measure the activity of small businesses in Russian federal districts. The key elements of the assessment are based on the official statistics and include the following: average labor productivity of small businesses, the unit turnover per small enterprise, the number of small firms per 10,000 people. Each of these indicators was analyzed by using the methods of mathematical statistics according to the three criteria: stability (S); average values (M); and the variability of the results (V), which characterizes interregional differentiation within a federal district/country.Results. The article proposes a system of indicators for diagnosing small business development based on the concentration and performance of small-sized enterprises. The quantitative results of such analysis can be used for choosing strategies of small business development.Conclusion. There was a significant decline in entrepreneurial activity during the post-crisis period of 2017-2018 in Russia, which could be explained by the impact of foreign sanctions and the difficult economic situation in the country (inflation, a sharp rise in the price of resources, difficulties in communication with international partners, and the difficulty or even impossibility to adopt efficient technologies in a short time). As our analysis has shown, some of the Russian territories still have underutilized resource potential that can be used for stimulating small business development

In this research work, radioecological monitoring of the soils of Yekaterinburg was carried out. Sampling was done in the places of influence of the East Chernobyl trace. Studies have shown the content of cesium-137 and radium-226 in soils.Хочу выразить благодарность своему научному руководителю, Анне Владимировне Ворониной, за помощь в проведённом исследовании

Reduction-controlled substrate release from a polymer nanosphere based on a viologen-cavitand

© 2016 The Royal Society of Chemistry. In this article, we present a new polymeric nanosphere (p(MVCA-co-SS)) for redox-controlled substrate release. The nanosphere consists of a hydrophobic core with disulfide bridges stabilized by the viologen-resorcinarene cavitand shell. The nanosphere is sensitive to thiol-containing reducing agents: glutathione (GSH) and dithiothreitol (DTT). GSH destructs the hydrophobic core of p(MVCA-co-SS) while DTT integrates into the core increasing its size. The nanosphere as shown can be used as nanocarriers for the redox-controlled substrate release for the fluorescent dyes (pyrene, rhodamine b and fluorescein)

Aim: to study mental state of gynecological oncological patients, their attitude to the existing disease and quality of life.Material and methods. The study was conducted on the basis of the City Clinical Hospital No. 1 of Novosibirsk. The main group (17women aged 29 to 60 years) included patients with ovarian cancer, cancer of the external female genital organs, and uterine cancer; the comparison group was comprised of 20 people aged 29 to 63 years without a history of cancer.Results. In gynecological oncological patients, dissatisfaction with their own bodies is more pronounced; they perceive their body distorted, which may be due to the characteristics of the disease and the specifics of treatment. Patients with gynecological cancers have a more pronounced subjective feeling of loneliness, but it is at the upper limit of the norm, which may mean the fact that these patients turn in upon themselves, in their experiences, as well as the feeling of something lost in their inner world. Patients with gynecological cancers showed an average level of quality of life and low indicators of the mental component of health, which indicates reduced functioning and a significant effect of the patient’s physical and emotional state on daily activities.Conclusion. The mental state of the cancer patient, his ability to withstand stress, his attitude to the existing disease affect the treatment process and further quality of life

Infrastructural development of agricultural products in the republic of Kazakhstan

This article explores the dependence of the agro-industrial products of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the development level of rural production, social and transport infrastructure. The paper presents main trend of the indices of the agribusiness infrastructural development in the Republic of Kazakhstan according to the time series based on the statistical data of Kazakhstan. The study revealed that the level of endowment in social and industrial infrastructure of agriculture in Kazakhstan remains extremely unstable. This circumstance can consequently form a tendency for a decline and even degradation of the Kazakh villages. As a result, it can lead to a violation and decline of the reproductive processes in the agribusiness, which, in turn, will negatively affect the endowment in products from agricultural raw materials. Hence, the formation and development of the agribusiness infrastructure is seen as an indispensable condition for the effective interaction of the actors of the main and auxiliary production, contributing to the development of general prerequisites for the growth and development of agricultural products. The results of the research can be used by the state in investing social, transport and production development of the village to ensure food security. Agricultural development of rural areas in Kazakhstan based on improving the infrastructure will increase the welfare of rural workers, solve the problem of quality food for the population of the country, and take an active part in the global task of eradicating hunger on the planet. © 2019 Stukach V. © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2015. In this communication we report the synthesis of Pd nanoparticle clusters achieved via the assembly of Pd nanoparticles on the surface of a spherical polymer network. The network exhibits flexibility and adapts to the cluster formation. The nanoclusters display high catalytic activity toward p-nitrophenol reduction and the Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction

Ligands of adenosine A1Rs are potential candidates for the development of drugs for the treatment of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, angina pectoris, hypertriglyceridemia, type 2 diabetes mellitus, neuropathic pain, and heart failure. At the same time, there is a deficiency of drugs that can regulate the functions of A1 receptor

© The Royal Society of Chemistry 2017. In this article, we report the synthesis of mono- and bimetallic Pd-Ni nanocomposites supported on a multicharged polymeric matrix for catalytic applications. The morphology and catalytic properties of the composites depend on the Pd-Ni ratio. In the Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction, the composite with an equal amount of palladium and nickel is the most active and the reaction occurs within six hours in water at room temperature
