    Critical Review of Social Safety Net in COVID Era Based on Maqashid Sharia Framework: Indonesia Case

    The high number of layoffs, bankruptcy, and increased poverty has forced the government to provide Social Safety Nets (SSN) programs to the public suffered from the COVID-19 pandemic. Problems arise when SSN programs failed to reach the basic needs of society. This paper aims to provide a Critical Review Analysis of the SSN program, especially in the COVID-19 pandemic, based on the Maqashid Sharia framework. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study analysis to provide a critical review of government policies in managing the COVID 19 pandemic. The data obtained from government policy literature such as Indonesia Laws from March-July 2020. The finding shows that from five aspects of Maqashid Sharia (Protecting Religion, Soul, Intellect/Mind, Heredity and Wealth), the Indonesia Government focuses on protecting the soul and wealth. This problem causes the non-optimal performance of the government when handling COVID 19 pandemics. Focusing on the marketing context, a structured discussion of how AI can identify the target customers precisely despite their different behaviors was presented in this paper.     Jaring Pengaman Sosial (JPS) merupakan salah satu instrumen pemerintah dalam membantu menangani berbagai krisis yang terjadi di masyarakat. Konsep JPS dapat dibedah dalam kata Jaring dan Pengaman Sosial. Kata Jaring bermakna bahwa dalam masa krisis pemerintah memiliki peran untuk menjaring masyarakat agar tidak jatuh ke jurang kemiskinan yang lebih dalam. Pengaman Sosial bermakna bahwa dalam menjaring masyarakat agar tidak jatuh ke dalam jurang kemiskinan maka pemerintah harus membantu melalui akses bantuan sosial baik jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang. Jaring Pengaman Sosial berperan sangat besar dalam menjaga kondisi kondusif dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Di dunia Internasional, JPS digunakan sebagai alat politik untuk menarik perhatian masyarakat melalui bantuan kepada pensiunan, bantuan kepada pengangguran, hingga bantuan rumah untuk masyarakat yang tidak memiliki rumah. Di Indonesia, JPS berbentuk Bantuan Langsung Tunai (BLT), bantuan pendidikan, bantuan Sembilan Bahan Pokok (Sembako), subsidi pupuk, dan bentuk-bentuk lainnya. Namun, bagaimana peranan JPS dalam masa pandemi Covid-19? Buku ini disusun dengan sistematika yang terarah. Kita memulai dengan memahami definisi dan konsep JPS, sejarah JPS, model JPS di Luar Negeri, model JPS di Indonesia, dan JPS dalam perspektif maqashid syariah.     The Effect of Economic Growth, Government Spending, and Human Development Index toward Inequality of Income Distribution in the Metropolitan Cities in Indonesia

    This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of economic growth, government capital expenditure, and human development index on the inequality of income distribution in Metropolitan Cities in Indonesia. This type of research is descriptive associative research, where the data used is secondary data from 2012 to 2021 obtained from relevant agencies, which were analyzed using the panel data regression method. The findings of this study indicate that the human development index has a negative and significant effect on the inequality of income distribution in Metropolitan Cities in Indonesia, capital expenditures and economic growth have a positive and insignificant effect on the inequality of income distribution in Metropolitan Cities in Indonesia. Taken together, only the human development index has a significant effect on the inequality of income distribution in Metropolitan Cities in Indonesia
