    Evaluation on Adult Behavior of Diaper Disposal Into The River in Surabaya and Sidoarjo, East Java

    Background: Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies, usually as a result of human activities. Water bodies include for example lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers and groundwater. Water pollution results when contaminants are introduced into the natural environment. The causes of water contamination are numerous and range from agricultural runoff to improper use of household chemicals and everything in between. This study aimed to evaluate adult behavior of diaper disposal into the river in Surabaya and Sidoarjo, East Java. Subjects and Method: A qualitative study was conducted in Surabaya and Sidoarjo, East Java. A sample of 30 adults aged 20 to 55 years living with baby and/or elderly near Brantas river was selected for this study, consisting 15 adults in Surabaya and 15 adults in Sidoarjo. The dependent variable was diaper disposal. The independent variable was knowledge, instruction, traditional belief, regress of toilet using, and sanitary napkin. The data were collected by in-depth interview and observation. The data were described using descriptive method. Results: Diapers were disposed into the river due to: (1) lack of knowledge on how to dispose diaper; (2) instruction on how to dispose diaper was non-existent; (3) traditional belief which holds that burning and burying diaper may cause physical and psychological harms; (4) regress of toilet using among babies and the elderly; (5) disposal of not only diaper but also sanitary napkin into the river; (6) disposal area was not only in Sidoarjo and Surabaya but also along Brantas river. Conclusion: Diaper is disposed into the river along Brantas river, due to lack of know¬ledge, absence of diaper disposal instruction, traditional belief, regress of toilet using, and sanitary napkin disposal.     Health Promotion Based on The Five Principles “Pancasila” to Manage Aggressive Behavior on Campus in Malang, East Java

    Background: In recent years, access to information among adolescents has led to unlimited manifestation of aggression. Often this has been witnessed in the increasing number of adolescents institutionalized for aggressive behavior. This study aimed to investigate the five principles “Pancasila” based health promotion to manage aggressive behavior among adolescents on campus in Malang, East Java. Subjects and Method: A qualitative study was carried out on university campus in Malang, East Java. A total of 19 key informants was selected for this study, including teachers and students. The theme was application of the five principles “Pancasila”-based health promotion to manage aggressive behavior. The data were collected by literature study, indepth interview, direct observation, and document review. Results: (1) Aggressive behavior was managable under mental health promotion; (2) Mental health promotion can be provided in campus; (3) Mental health promotion is easier implemented if it is linked with local culture with the five principles “Pancasila” uniting various local cultures. Conclusion: The five principles “Pancasila” can be used to plan a mental health pro¬motion program aims to address aggressive behavior.     Risk Perception of Covid 19

    The purpose of this study was to describe risk perception of Covid 19 in Indonesia. The research was conducted using a survey method with a descriptive quantitative approach. The questionnaire was structured using established theories of risk perception. Questionnaires were compiled on the google form application and distributed via WA. There were 508 participants. The results showed that the participants' risk perception to Covid 19 was moderate. Most participants were aged between 17 - 32 years, young adults. Participants generally view the government as a trusted source of information about Covid 19. However, further research it is necessary to deepen the role of the government in the perception of the risk of Covid 19 in young adulthood

    Academic Resilience of “Bidik Misi” Grantee Students in Malang During Pandemic Covid-19

    Academic resilience can be understood as a student's ability to respond, adapt, and remain persistent in difficult situations. Current situation of the Covid-19 pandemic has changed many aspects of life, including the learning method. This situation led to impossibility to gather in large numbers in one place, making learning to be held by distance through online media. However, online learning in fact also causes its stressors for students especially “Bidik Misi grantee” students in such problems as internet bills issues, networks, and most importantly understanding of the material presented by the lecturer from different location. The purpose of this research is to know the description of the academic resilience of Bidik Misi grantee students in Malang during the Covid-19 pandemic using online approach in lectures. The data collection method was done through a questionnaire via google form with 61 Bidik Misi grantee as respondents. The instrument in this study used the resilience instrument from Cassidy (2016), the results of the study showed that only 1 subject had very high academic resilience, 21 subjects had high academic resilience, 25 subjects had moderate academic resilience,9 subjects had low resilience and 5 subjects had very low academic resilience.
