    ABSTRACT Herbal plants can be used as feed additive, on of which is the papaya plant (Carrica papaya L). The reseach was conducted on 11-27 September 2020 at street Wolter Monginsidi alley Nuri number 55, Teluk Betung North District, Bandar Lampung. This study aims to determine the effect of adding papaya leaf juice  in drinking water to the performance broiler chickens. The material used was 96 broiler chickens ranging from 5-21 days of age. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments given was control drinking water without additional  (P0), control drinking water + 5 ml papaya leaf juice/liter of water (P1), control drinking water + 10 ml papaya leaf juice/liter of water (P2), control drinking water + 15 ml papaya leaf juice/liter of water (P3). The result showed that the addition of papaya leaf juice up to level 1,5% did not have a significant effect on the performance of broiler chickens at weeks 1, 2, and 3. Based on the reseach result it can be concluded that the addition of papaya leaf juce in drinking water up to level 1.5% has not had a significant effect (P>0,05) on performance broiler chicken.     One of the influencing factors in hatching is egg screening. This study aims to determine the frequency of egg turning to increase hatchability, fertility, and mortality of quail eggs. Completely randomized design (CRD) is the design used in this study and the experiment in the study which consisted of 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments of this study were: 1 screening/day for each replication (p0), 2 screenings/day for each replication (p1), 3 screenings/day for each replication (p2), 4 screenings/day for each replication (p3). From the results of this study, it was concluded that the frequency of three rotations per day on quail eggs showed the highest percentage yield at 100% hatchability, while the highest percentage of fertility was 84%, and the lowest percentage of mortality was 19%.     ABSTRACT The benefits of eggs in human life are so great that eggs are highly recommended for consumption by children who are in a period of growth, pregnant and lactating women, people who are sick or in the process of healing, and the elderly. Eggs are a source of animal protein that has a delicious taste, easy to digest and highly nutritious so that it is needed by many people. In addition, eggs are easy to obtain and the price is affordable. Indonesian people generally sufficient their protein needs by consuming eggs. Nowadays, there are many governments or students who are conducting campaigns to consume eggs every day, this campaign is carried out to increase the body's immune system, fulfill nutritional needs and also prevent stunting. Consumption of eggs 1-2 eggs a day per capita is highly recommended to help meet the protein needs in the body. Based on the results of observations made to 20 housewives, in Kibang Village, Kec. Metro Kibang, Kab. East Lampung in February 2022 it was discovered that a total of 18 housewives had not implemented egg consumption at least once a day. Many housewives do not know the importance of consuming eggs, the lack of education for housewives is one of the factors that affect consumption rates. This counseling is expected to provide benefits to participants and the community and raise awareness of the importance of consuming eggs, as well as how to select good quality eggs and store eggs properly.     ABSTRACT This aim of study was to determined effect of red ginger flour (Zingiber Officinale Var Rubrum) as herbal feed additive in Broiler Chiken on feed comsumption, daily body weight gain  and feed conversion ratio.The research was conducted on September – Oktober 2020 at Gisting Atas Village,  Gisting District, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung. The experiment used 80 unisex Broiler aged 1 week. They were feed a ration with control ration + 0% red ginger flour (P0), control ration + 0,25% red ginger flour (P1), control ration + 0,5% red ginger flour (P2), control ratio + 0,75% red ginger flour (P3) during 20 days. The control ration containing 21% crude protein and 3108 kkal/kg metabolism energy. The study used a quantitative methods with completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The results showed that the      ration had no effect (P> 0,05) on feed comsumption, daily weight gain and conversion ratio. The conclution of the research showed that the addition of level red ginger flour (Zingiber Officinale Var Rubru) until 0,75% as herbal feed additive in Broiler Chiken no effect on feed comsumption, daily body weight gain and feed conversion ratio.     The aim of the study was to know the effect of Curcuma xanthorhiza as herbal feed additive on feed consumption, daily body weight gain and feed conversion ratio of Kampung Unggul Balitnak (KUB) Chicken. The research was conducted at Kemukus Village, Ketapang District, South Lampung Regency. The experimental used 80 unisex KUB chicken aged 5 week. They were feed a ration with control ration + 0% temulawak flour (P0), control ration + 0,1% temulawak flour (P1), control ration + 0,2% temulawak flour (P2) and control ration + 0,3% temulawak flour (P4) during 30 days. The control ration containing 21% crude protein and 3150 kcal/kg metabolism energy. The study used a quantitative method with completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The results showed that the addition of temulawak flour (Curcuma xanthoriza) up to 0.3% did not effect (P> 0.05) on feed consumption but was affected (P <0.05) on daily body weight gain and feed conversion ratio.     Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pendapatan peternak sapi pedaging dan menganalisis curahan tenaga kerja keluarga pada usaha peternakan sapi pedaging. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai dengan Juli 2023 yang berlokasi di Desa Muji Rahayu Kecamatan Seputih Agung Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Penentuan lokasi penelitian ditetapkan secara sengaja (purposive) dengan pertimbangan centra peternakan sapi pedaging dengan sistem pemeliharaan semi ekstensif dengan ciri digembalakan dan juga dikandangkan sehingga lebih mudah dalam perhitungan curahan tenaga kerjanya. teknik pengambilan sampel yang di lakukan adalah secara acak sederhana (simple random sampling). Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah primer dan data sekunder. Variabel yang diamati yaitu Karakteristik Responden, Biaya Produksi, Penerimaan, Pendapatan Usaha, dan Analisis Curahan Tenaga Kerja. Data yang diperoleh ditabulasi dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan dibahas secara deskriptif.. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan penelitian yang telah dilakukan di Desa Muji Rahayu Kecamatan Seputih Agung Kabupaten Lampung Tengah disimpulkan bahwa pendapatan usaha ternak tertinggi adalah pada skala kepemilikan besar (>5 ST) sebesar Rp. 17.096.647,-/tahun.setelahnya yaitu skala kepemilikan menengah (3-5 ST) Rp. 15.341.647 dan yang terendah adalah skala kepemilikan kecil (<3 ST) sebesar Rp. 13.173.502,-/tahun. Curahan tenaga kerja keluarga yang tertinggi adalah pada skala kepemilikan besar (>5 ST) sebesar 3158 (JKP/tahun).selanjutnya diikuti oleh skala kepemilikan menengah (3-5 ST) sebesar 2294 (JKP/tahun) dan yang terendah pada skala kepemilikan kecil (<3 ST) sebesar 1671 (JKP/tahun

    Good carcass quality requires an increase in broiler productivity. Increasing the productivity of broiler chickens requires good feed quality for growth. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of Aloe vera flour on feed consumption, final weight and carcass percentage of broiler chickens. Variables to be observed in the study Effect of Addition of Aloe vera Flour in Feed on Feed Consumption, Final Body Weight and Carcass Percentage of Broiler Chickens. Maintenance of broiler chickens was carried out for 28 days, 1 week old broiler chickens were treated P0 = 100% ration without additional Aloe vera flour, P1 = ration + 0.25% Aloe vera flour (2.5 g/kg ration), P2 = ration + 0.5% Aloe vera flour (5 g/kg ration), P3 = ration + 0.75% Aloe vera flour (7.5 g/kg ration). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the addition of Aloe vera flour up to a dose of 0.75% had a significant effect (P<0.05) on reducing feed consumption, but the addition of Aloe vera flour up to a dose of 0.75% had no significant effect on the final body weight. and carcass percentage

    Margo Lestari Village is a village with potential as a laying hen farming center. This can be seen from the people who raise laying hens. However, the high egg production in the village is not matched by egg sales or marketing. This results in the production of eggs that can rot before being utilized or consumed because eggs have a fairly short shelf life. Thus, it is hoped that this service activity can increase the income of farmers through improving the quality of salted egg products from laying hen eggs in Margo Lestari Village. This counseling activity uses the lecture method and question and answer section. Extension activities were carried out on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 09.00 to 12.30 WIB at the Margo Lestari Village Hall, Jati Agung District, South Lampung Regency. The socialization was attended by 20 people, most of whom were breeders. After carrying out community service activities, it can be concluded that there are several things obtained by farmers as participants, namely increasing knowledge related to processing poultry farm products into salted eggs to increase the selling price and shelf life of production eggs in an effort to increase the economic value of farmers.     The objective of this research was to gather information about capturing techniques used by the local communities in Kaur District. Respondents were chosen by using snowball sampling method. Variables observed were equipment used by respondents, the time and location of capturing red jungle fowl. The result showed that the equipment used by the respondents are food supplies (rice and water), weapons (machetes, knives, matches), and clothing (hats , jackets, trousers, raincoats) and red jungle fowl hooks, nets, racit, sangkek and bags.
