This paper describes an initial analysis to evaluate the effects of a new vehicle emission standard "Decree of The State Minister of Environment of Republic Indonesia No 141 Year 2003" on the ambient air quality in Jakarta City. The decree is enacted to reduce emission loads from mobile sources. This new emission standard will be applied step by step: to new type/new model that launched in 2005 from January 2005, to four-stroke motor cycle (current model that still produced since several years before) from July 2006 and to all models from January 2007. Current and future emission loads are estimated with respect to major roads in the center of Jakarta city. It is found that in the long term, implementation of the new vehicle emission standard will significantly reduce emission loads from gasoline-type vehicles. However, the new standard seems not effective to diesel-type vehicles

Legal Awareness is essential to a well-functioning society, and everyone should contribute toincreasing awareness in their communities. The aim of this research is to analyze the millennialgeneration's compliance with environmental laws through activities such as beach cleaning andecology. We obtained several edits from various existing literature publications and thenpartnered on a fundamental approach, which, among other things, involved coding the data, analyzing it to evaluate it, and interpreting it to obtain answers as findings that support thisresearch. Of course in a technological approach, the strategy is to seek understanding from largeamounts of data to produce findings. So analytical tools or theories are needed to explain theabove problems, one of which is used in this research is Emile Durkheim's theory regarding aculture, so that you can also see the institutions and norms that exist in that culture. Based onthe data we have studied and the results we have discussed, we can perfect the environmentallegal analysis of the MEA generation which has raised several important points, includinginsurance compliance, the desire to guarantee a healthy environment, other proposalssupported by financial awareness. Those who understand the law of ordinary will have socialconsciousness and are also supported by spiritual consciousness. The conclusions from theresults of this research help develop similar research in the future, of course in the context ofenvironmental studies. The novelty of this research is a culture-based environment

The aim of this report is to initiate the Sister Village Concept (SVC) in megacity like Surabaya city, Indonesia. This concept is to address Municipal Solid Waste Management (MSWM) program to reduce the volume of waste load on final land fill disposal site and to promote composting both in each household level and in composting centers. The SISTER in term of SVC itself is stand for Sharing of Information, System, Technology and Economic Resources. In addition, it tries to bridge the relationship among villages and exchange any resources based on mutual respect, learning and cooperation. The principle of SVC is a sustainable cooperation between compost producer villages and compost user villages, within this cooperation, producer villages will supply the compost to user villages. Instead the compost user villages will supply the solid waste to the compost producer villages
