Algebraic Quantum Error-Correction Codes
Based on the group structure of a unitary Lie algebra, a scheme is provided
to systematically and exhaustively generate quantum error correction codes,
including the additive and nonadditive codes. The syndromes in the process of
error-correction distinguished by different orthogonal vector subspaces, the
coset subspaces. Moreover, the generated codes can be classified into four
types with respect to the spinors in the unitary Lie algebra and a chosen
initial quantum state
Inhibition of stimulated Raman scattering due to the excitation of stimulated Brillouin scattering
The nonlinear coupling between stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) and stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) of intense laser in underdense plasma is studied theoretically and numerically. Based upon the fluid model, their coupling equations are derived, and a threshold condition of plasma density perturbations due to SBS for the inhibition of SRS is given. Particle-in-cell simulations show that this condition can be achieved easily by SBS in the so-called fluid regime with kLλD<0.15, where kL is the Langmuir wave number and λD is the Debye length [Kline et al., Phys. Plasmas 13, 055906 (2006)]. SBS can reduce the saturation level of SRS and the temperature of electrons in both homogeneous and inhomogeneous plasma. Numerical simulations also show that this reduced SRS saturation is retained even if the fluid regime condition mentioned above is violated at a later time due to plasma heating
Protective effect of Acorus tatarinowii extract against alzheimer in 3xTg-AD mice
Purpose: To investigate the protective effect of Acorus tatarinowii extract (ATE) against Alzheimer's disease in 3xTg-AD mice.
Method: The cognitive function of 3xTg-AD mice was assessed using Morris water maze test. The levels of the amyloid beta deposits and NeuN in the hippocampus were evaluated by immunohistochemical assay while brain neurotrophic derived factor (BDNF) and tyrosine kinase B (TrkB) expressions were determined by western blot analysis.
Results: ATE treatment significantly ameliorated learning and memory deficits in AD mice, as shown by increased time spent in the target zone during probe tests. The escape latency in animals treated with 600 mg/kg ATE (24.8 ± 1.3 s) was significantly increased relative to ontreated 3xTg-AD mice (8.5 ± 1.0 s, p < 0.01). In addition, ATE significantly decreased Aβ deposits, increased NeuN-positive cells, and upregulated the expression of BDNF (1.9 ± 0.4, p < 0.05) and TrkB (1.9 ± 0.2, p < 0.05) in 3xTg AD mice.
Conclusion: These results suggest that ATE treatment may be a useful strategy for managing memory impairment induced by several neurodegenerative diseases
CDSD: Chinese Dysarthria Speech Database
We present the Chinese Dysarthria Speech Database (CDSD) as a valuable
resource for dysarthria research. This database comprises speech data from 24
participants with dysarthria. Among these participants, one recorded an
additional 10 hours of speech data, while each recorded one hour, resulting in
34 hours of speech material. To accommodate participants with varying cognitive
levels, our text pool primarily consists of content from the AISHELL-1 dataset
and speeches by primary and secondary school students. When participants read
these texts, they must use a mobile device or the ZOOM F8n multi-track field
recorder to record their speeches. In this paper, we elucidate the data
collection and annotation processes and present an approach for establishing a
baseline for dysarthric speech recognition. Furthermore, we conducted a
speaker-dependent dysarthric speech recognition experiment using an additional
10 hours of speech data from one of our participants. Our research findings
indicate that, through extensive data-driven model training, fine-tuning
limited quantities of specific individual data yields commendable results in
speaker-dependent dysarthric speech recognition. However, we observe
significant variations in recognition results among different dysarthric
speakers. These insights provide valuable reference points for
speaker-dependent dysarthric speech recognition.Comment: 9 pages, 3 figure
