Demodikoza pasa na teritoriji grada NiŔa
This paper describes cases of demodicosis in dogs from the territory of the city of NiÅ”. The objective of the investigations was to learn more about the parameters that can influence the susceptibility of certain dogs to the cause of demodicosis, such as: age, hair length, sex, and seasonal dynamics of the incidence of the disease. It was established following examinations of 76 dogs suspected of demodicosis that they were all infected with the specie Demodex canis. The changes were localized or generalized. In the total number of infected dogs, there was a larger share of males (61.84%) than females (38.16%). The number of dogs diseased with demodicosis was twice higher in shorthaired than in long-haired animals. The most frequently infected were dogs of the Doberman and German Shepherd breeds. The number of male and female animals among short-haired dogs diseased with demodicosis was equal, while there were more males among the long-haired animals. The biggest number of infected animals was in the category of young dogs, up to one year of age, and they accounted for 65.79% of the total number of diseased animals, which shows without any doubt that younger dogs are more susceptible to demodicosis. There were more infected dogs in the period autumn-winter than in the period spring-summer.U ovom radu opisani su sluÄajevi demodikoze kod pasa sa teritorije grada NiÅ”a. Cilj ispitivanja je bio da se neÅ”to viÅ”e sazna o parametrima koji mogu da utiÄu na prijemÄivost odreÄenih pasa prema uzroÄniku demodikoze kao Å”to su: životno doba, dužina dlake, pol i sezonska dinamika pojavljivanja bolesti. Pregledom 76 pasa suspektnih na demodikozu, ustanovljeno je da su svi bili infestirani vrstom Demodex canis. Promene su bile lokalizovane ili generalizovane. U ukupnom broju infestiranih pasa veÄi je bio udeo mužjaka (61,84%) nego ženki (38,16%). Broj pasa obolelih od demodikoze bio je dva puta veÄi kod kratkodlakih u odnosu na dugodlake pse. NajÄeÅ”Äe infestirani su bili psi rase doberman i nemaÄki ovÄar. Broj muÅ”kih i ženskih jedinki kod kratkodlakih pasa obolelih od demodikoze bio je ujednaÄen, dok je kod dugodlakih bio veÄi broj mužjaka. NajveÄi broj infestiranih je bio iz kategorije mladih pasa, uzrasta od godinu dana i njihov udeo u ukupnom broju obolelih bio je 65,79 posto, Å”to nesumnjivo ukazuje da su demodikozi podložniji mlaÄi psi. Intramolecular cyclization by catalytic hydrogenation of 3Ī²-acetoxy-16-picolinylidene-5-androsten-17-one (IV) (80Ā° and 50-60 atm of hydrogen pressure over Pd/C as catalyst) gives rise to the formation of two cyclic products, namely, 5ā²,6ā²,7ā²,8ā²-tetrahydro-2ā²Ī±H-3ā²Ī±H-9ā²Ī±H-3Ī²-acetoxy-androst-5-eno [16.17-b]indolizine (VII) and its 9ā²Ī²H-isomer (VIII), in a total yield of over 80%, the ratio of the two isomers being 3:1. Measurements of physical-chemical characteristics of dairy plant waste waters
Characteristics of waste waters of the dairy industry are specific and differ essentially from waste waters of other branches of the food industry. The complexity of production in dairy plants with several units for different products render the problem of waste waters of this industry particularly complex. Waste waters of the AD Imlek dairy plant were sampled and their chemical characteristics were determined at different seasons of the year and at different times of the day in the years 2001 and 2007. The obtained concentrations were compared with the maximum permitted concentrations listed under the Regulations on technical and sanitary conditions for releasing waste waters into the City Sewers of the City of Belgrade

Unbranched Ī±,Ļ-diols are mainly converted by means of lead tetra-acetate in refluxing benzene to the corresponding ethers of di-Ī±-tetrahydrofuryl, di-Ī±-tetrahydropyryl and/or Ī±-tetrahydrofuryl-Ī±ā²-tetrahydropyryl type. Thus, 1,6-hexanediol affords cis-1,4-dioxaperhydropentalene (Ia) in 15Ā·2% yield; 1,7-heptanediol affords 1,6-dioxaspiro[4.4]nonane (II) in 29Ā·2% yield; 1,8-octanediol cyclizes to 1,6-dioxaspiro[4.5]decane (IIIa) in 39Ā·3% yield; 1,9-nonanediol affords a mixture of di-Ī±-tetrahydrofurylmethane (IV, 33Ā·2%), 2-(Ī±-tetrahydrofuryl)Ī±ā²-tetrahydropyran (IVa, 3Ā·7%) and 1,7-di-oxaspiro[5.5]undecane (IVb, 3Ā·3%); 1,10-decanediol is oxidized to a mixture of 1,2-di-Ī±-tetrahydrofurylethane (V, 27Ā·2%), and threo- and erythro-Ī±-tetrahydrofuryl-Ī±ā²-tetrahydropyrylmethanes (Va, 4Ā·3%); and 1,11-undecanediol affords, as main product, 1,3-di-Ī±-tetrahydrofurylpropane (VI) in 40Ā·1% yield, together with small amounts of four other ethers which were not identified
Effects of reactive filters based on modified zeolite in dairy industry wastewater treatment process
Application of adsorbents based on organo-zeolites has certain advantages
over conventional methods applied in food industry wastewater treatment
process. The case study presented in this paper examines the possibilities
and effects of treatment of dairy industry wastewater by using adsorbents
based on organo-zeolites. The obtained results indicate favorable filtration
properties of organo-zeolite, their high level of adsorption of organic
matter and nitrate nitrogen in the analyzed wastewater. This paper concludes
with recommendations of optimal technical and technological parameters for
the application of these filters in practice
