Letter to Dillon Myer, Director, War Relocation Authority from H. L. Stafford, Project Director, Minidoka Relocation Center enclosing a report on Army Specialized Training Program practices at Minidoka. The report in the form of a letter to Mr. Stafford from Elmer Smith, Community Analyst, relates events that recently occurred at Minidoka with first the acceptance of Japanese Americans in the Army Specialized Training Program and then their being informed they were not accepted. Attached are two letters stating the persons are not currently able to participate in the Army Specialized Training Program; an earlier letter of acceptance to the Army Specialized Training Program; several documents providing information on the Army Specialized Training Program; correspondence to and from the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War related to the program and eligibility of men of Japanese ancestry.
