    The barriers analysis of supply chain management during COVID-19 Pandemic in Indian Industries: COVID-19 Pandemic in Indian Industries

    In today's supply chain, information sharing and accountability for goods is critical, accordingly to the principles of fiscal, environmental and social security, which have been also concentrating on in recent years, prioritize business process openness. The economic consequences of the COVID-19 outbreak and prevention strategies incorporate factors such as supply and demand shocks as a result of COVID-19. This paper investigates the sensitivity of the supply chain to the unfolding pandemic crisis by identifying the five main barriers for Indian manufacturing industries in the new COVID-19 time by employing a hierarchical approach, based on multi-criteria analysis. A hierarchical process-based multi-criteria approach has been used to evaluate COVID-19 influence and prioritized by Entropy and TOPSIS technique. The findings shows that local law enforcement obtained the highest weights among all the supply chain barriers operations in the COVID-19 time, and among the industries, airline, hotel, and automobile sectors have been most affected by the global crisis. The obtained findings will provide the strategic outputs for decision-makers to strengthen the supply chain following COVID-19 protocols

    Uncertainty is unavoidable and addressing the same is inevitable. That everything is available at our doorstep is due to a well-managed modern global supply chain, which takes place despite its efficiency and effectiveness being threatened by various sources of uncertainty originating from the demand side, supply side, manufacturing process, and planning and control systems. This paper addresses the demand- and supply-rooted uncertainty. In order to cope with uncertainty within the constrained multi-objective supply chain network, this paper develops a fuzzy goal programming methodology, with solution procedures. The probabilistic fuzzy goal multi-objective supply chain network (PFG-MOSCN) problem is thus formulated and then solved by three different approaches, namely, simple additive goal programming approach, weighted goal programming approach, and pre-emptive goal programming approach, to obtain the optimal solution. The proposed work links fuzziness in transportation cost and delivery time with randomness in demand and supply parameters. The results may prove to be important for operational managers in manufacturing units, interested in optimizing transportation costs and delivery time, and implicitly, in optimizing profits. A numerical example is provided to illustrate the proposed model

    Primary meningeal sarcoma is a rare tumor in pediatric age group. Here we were reporting an extremly rare case report of an 11 year old boy presented with quadriparesis and bladder involvement. MRI revealed a cervical dural based tumor with extension to cord parenchyma and neural foramina involving paravertebral tissue. The histopathology revealed mesenchymal tumor with malignant potential which on immunohistochemical (IHC) study found to be vimentin positive fibrosarcoma

    An important analysis performed on microarray gene-expression data is to discover biclusters, which denote groups of genes that are coherently expressed for a subset of conditions. Various biclustering algorithms have been proposed to find different types of biclusters from these real-valued gene-expression data sets. However, these algorithms suffer from several limitations such as inability to explicitly handle errors/noise in the data; difficulty in discovering small bicliusters due to their top-down approach; inability of some of the approaches to find overlapping biclusters, which is crucial as many genes participate in multiple biological processes.
