A revista Estúdio inaugura neste começo do seu sétimo ano de existência uma periodicidade mais exigente: publica-se agora com um ritmo trimestral. No número 12 da Estúdio tinha-se lançado o tema “Identidade”. A muito boa resposta que o tema suscitou levou-nos a desdobrar a publicação dos artigos selecionados em dois números consecutivos da revista. Assim tem-se no presente uma segunda identidade. Fala-se de variabilidade e de identidade, sendo uma condição da outra. Neste ponto é pertinente recorrer a Darwin, que dscreve este olhar dividido, no capítulo 5 de a origem das espécies, no capítulo intitulado “Leis da variação.” Aí Darwin interroga-se sobre a duplicidade disfórica entre um antepassado comum — sinal do idêntico — e os dois tipos de diferenciação: as diferenças antigas e tornadas mais ou menos permanentes, que ocorreram antes de mudanças climáticas ou ambientais, e as diferenças que florescem nas partes mais recentes dos corpos — os caracteres específicos. Na Estúdio não estudamos propriamente seres vivos, mas sim discursos. Mas como as espécies, há troços do discurso que antecedem as mudanças ambientais (por exemplo, idiomas, algumas regras gerais comportamento) e outros, específicos, que sucedem às mudanças ambientais e contextuais. Assim os artigos aqui reunidos dão testemunho de uma referencialidade comum, profunda, antiga, e ao mesmo tempo de uma diversidade discursiva, que corresponde às suas diferenças contextuais. A identidade engana os incautos: o que ela mostra é o que ela esconde. Escondido atrás de ti, estão os que te chamam, os que te interpelam, os que te preenchem o sentido. Vermibus o la carne dada a los gusanos : espácios publicitarios para la transformación social

“Caro data vermibus”, or “the meat started to the worms”, is the acronym of the term ‘corpse’ that uses Vermibus as pseudonym (Palma de Mallorca, 1987). His work is fitted, from his own art & life project, in an activist area that faces the artistic transgression in the fashion photography in the public context of the civil ordinariness. The present paper reflects, through a conceptual, methodological and formal analysis, those works of the Sevillian artist-architect San¬tiago Cirugeda (1971) aimed to promote, with a socializing and participatory purpose, research, education and artistic intervention by forming alternative architectural spaces. Histórias de vida : la memória biográfica-narrativa en la obra de Miguel Romero

This paper discusses how the Sevillian artist Miguel Romero (1971) explores the establishment of the truth in the limits of photographic technique. Through stories of life, real or fictitious, he proposes us to assume and build them by contextual empathy, the search of the common memory or the shared feeling that emerges within each of us. The text addresses how this artist embodies these biographical stories to make us rethink our own memories, play with the times.
