PATRIMÔNIO CULTURAL INTANGÍVEL: UMA INTERPRETAÇÃO GEOGRÁFICA E HISTÓRICA DO CONCEITO

 O presente artigo versa sobre o histórico do conceito de patrimônio cultural, desde suas primeiras manifestações de sentido individual até sua coletivização para a sociedade, com a criação do Estado-nação moderno. O levantamento histórico levaou em conta a relação do patrimônio com o espaço, interpretando este como objeto cristalizado no território, constituinte da paisagem, e de extrema funcionalidade, uma vez que se torna base para ações futuras, a partir do lapso de tempo que se tem até a constituição do que venha a ser o patrimônio coletivo. Um segundo momento do artigo versa sobre a importância do patrimônio intangível de cunho coletivo, o denominado folclore. Este passou por várias interpretações ao longo do século XIX, acarretando em diferentes ações para a manutenção das culturas. O debate sobre patrimônio levou a se criar diferentes modos de preservá-lo, incluindo as manifestações imateriais, tão influenciadas pelo atual estágio da globalização, que na maioria dos casos (re)configura as identificações culturais e gera novas, em um movimento contínuo que, em muitos casos, caracteriza a perda do patrimônio cultural. Por meio disso, salienta-se a importância da educação patrimonial como ferramenta do saber voltado para a preservação da cultura e das ações de cunho popular. Abstract The paper deals with the history of cultural heritage from its earliest manifestations in the individual sense until its later meanings of collectivization in society with the creation of modern nation-state. This historical survey will take into account the relationship between space and heritage (interpreting it as an object crystallized in the territory), an element of the landscape, and its extreme functionality, as heritage establishes the basis for future actions from the time which establishes itself until it is established a collective heritage. The second stage of this paper deals with the importance of intangible assets of a collective nature, the so-called folklore. This went through various interpretations throughout the nineteenth century, resulting in different actions to ascertain the maintenance of cultures. The heritage debate led to the creation of different ways to preserve it, including intangible manifestations, a influenced by the current stage of globalization, which in most cases (re)configures cultural identities and generates new ones in a continuous motion that in many cases, actually characterizes the loss of the original cultural heritage. Through this, we stress the importance of education as a tool of knowledge toward the preservation of popular culture. Key-words: Cultural Heritage; Geography; Intangible Assets
