    Are Vocational High School Students Ready to Be Entrepreneur?

    The challenges of vocational education is to answer the changed faced by people nowadays as well as to prepare the labor in particular number and quality according to the needs of different sectors, especially industrial and service sector. To prepare the graduate of vocational high school who fulfills the qualification of labor market, then the competency of the graduates of vocational high school need to be regenerated and increased. This research is to analyze the influence of entrepreneurships education and work training to students' entrepreneur attitude. Students' entrepreneur attitude can be seen from self-confidence aspect, oriented on task and result, risk takers, leaderships, originality and future oriented. Data was collected from 113 students at SMK N 2 Tondano by doing proportional sampling technique. The result of the research found that students' entrepreneur attitude can be shaped through entrepreneurship education at school and work training or take apprentice programs outside of schools

    Analysis of Women Leadership Behavior in the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) of Southeast Minahasa Regency

    This study aims to determine the women leadership behavior in the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) of South East Minahasa Regency. This study made use a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and identified two key informants, the secretary and implementing staff of the BKPSDM. Data were collected by interviews and questionnaires. After rigorous examination, it was discovered that the most prominent leadership behavior is feminine leadership in which the leader is oriented more toward relations with subordinates through attitudes by frequently coordinating with various parties in making decisions, satisfying aspirations, being open to subordinates and guiding them when making mistakes at work. The leadership style combines several styles tailored to the situation at hand

    Human Resources Readiness Assessment in the Framework of Business Development

    This paper aims to describe the readiness of human resources in the context of business development in the business of “Tibo-tibo” women fishermen in North Minahasa, Indonesia. Descriptive qualitative research methods were used to analysis valuable data and information. Data collected with observation, questionnaires and in-depth interviews technique. The results showed that human resources are very supportive of doing business development as seen from the experience business as a fish seller, productive age, and motivation to work and family support as a fisherwoman. The results of subsequent studies are human resources challenging to identify traditional work behaviour, shortterm work habit, lack of creativity on product and marketing innovation and also the habit on making loan in high interest. This research recommends human capital and social capital empowering to increase local potential

    The Influence of Leadership Styles and Incentive on Employee's Work Satisfaction in the Production Department of PT Toarco Jaya Tora

    This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style and incentives on employee's job satisfaction in PT Toarco Jaya Toraja's production department. This study made use of survey, while the data were collected by questionnaires to capture the leadership styles, incentives, and job satisfaction, as well as interviews to fulfill the data on incentives. The questionnaires were distributed to 33 employees of the production department. The data were processed and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The analysis resulted an equation Y = 4.963 + 0.490X1 + 0.620X2 + e. The correlation coefficient (R) is 0,900. Adjusted R square or R2 was 0.810. The F test shows that the Fvalue ≥ Ftable (63,762≥3.32) or sig 0.000 ≤ 0.05. Hypothesis testing indicates that the leadership style and incentives have a positive and significant effect on employee's job satisfaction. Partially, job satisfaction is influenced by the leadership style, and employee's job satisfaction is influenced by incentives

    Kinerja Bisnis Perempuan Pelaku UMKM: : Peran Kognisi Kewirausahaan dan Model Bisnis

    Paper ini menganalisis kognisi kewirausahaan dan model bisnis terhadap kinerja bisnis perempuan pelaku UMKM. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Minahasa khususnya di kecamatan Kawangkoan, Kecamatan Sonder, dan Pusat kota Tondano. Populasi sasaran adalah perempuan pelaku UMKM sebanyak 98 responden. Data penelitian tentang ketiga variabel dijaring melalui angket. Teknik analisis menggunakan regresi dan korelasi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kinerja bisnis dipengaruhi oleh Kognisi kewirausahaan dan model bisnis.   Kata kunci: Kognisi kewirausahaan, model bisnis, perempuan pelaku UMK

    This paper intends to description of conceptual model of business development innovation which will be applied to fisherwomen's Tibo-Tibo business in North Minahasa Regency.     Nilai Budaya dan Perubahan Karakteristik Sosial dalam Serikat Mahmejaan Masyarakat Taratara

    Terdapat berbagai kelompok sosial yang dapat kita jumpai dalam masyarakat dewasa ini. Di dalam masyarakat Taratara, terdapat salah satu kelompok sosial yang bernama Serikat Mahmejaan. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni menemukan nilai budaya dan Perubahan karakteristik sosial yang terkandung dalam Serikat Mahmejaan masyarakat Taratara. Proses penelitian dilaksanakan di kelurahan Taratara, Tomohon-Sulawesi Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni deskriptif kualitatif, dengan subjek penelitian purposive sampling, dan teknik pengumpulan datanya dengan observasi tak berstruktur dan wawancara semi terstruktur, sedangkan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan teknik analisis Grounded Teory. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) nilai budaya dapat ditemukan dalam aspek-aspek seperti: sistem keanggotaan, sistem kepemimpinan, langkah awal, aturan untepan lutu dan hukuman, (2) Perubahan karakteristik sosial ditemukan dalam aspek-aspek seperti: sistem keanggotaan, menu makanan, dan perlengkapan sabuah. Ada lima nilai budaya yang terdapat dalam Serikat Mahmejaan masyarakat Taratara: (1) nilai kekeluargaan, (2) nilai kerjasama, (3) nilai persatuan dan kesatuan (4) nilai musyawarah/mufakat, dan (5) nilai religius. Sedangkan Perubahan karakteristik sosial yang terjadi dalam Serikat Mahmejaan masyarakat Taratara yakni: (1) dilihat dari bentuknya, Perubahan yang terjadi adalah Perubahan kecil dan Perubahan yang dikehendaki dan direncanakan, (2) dilihat dari faktor-faktor penyebabnya, Perubahan yang terjadi disebabkan oleh situasi dan kebutuhan masyarakat yang berubah karena adanya pemikiran yang baru serta sentuhan dengan budaya lain
