Infrared Hall conductivity of NaCoO
We report infrared Hall conductivity of
NaCoO thin films determined from Faraday rotation angle
measurements. exhibits two types of hole
conduction, Drude and incoherent carriers. The coherent Drude carrier shows a
large renormalized mass and Fermi liquid-like behavior of Hall scattering rate,
. The spectral weight is suppressed and disappears at T
= 120K. The incoherent carrier response is centered at mid-IR frequency and
shifts to lower energy with increasing T. Infrared Hall constant is positive
and almost independent of temperature in sharp contrast with the dc-Hall
constant.Comment: 5 Pages, 5 Figures. Author list corrected in metadata only, paper is

Reheating and thermalization in a simple scalar model
We consider a simple model for the Universe reheating, which consists of a
single self--interacting scalar field in Minkowskian space--time. Making use of
the existence of an additional small parameter proportional to the amplitude of
the initial spatially homogeneous field oscillations, we show that the behavior
of the field can be found reliably. We describe the evolution of the system
from the homogeneous oscillations to the moment when thermalization is
completed. We compare our results with the Hartree--Fock approximation and
argue that some properties found for this model may be the common features of
realistic theories.Comment: Some changes in Introduction and Discussion, comparison with the
Hartree--Fock results added. 37 pages, 2 postscript figures attache
Enhanced magnetic response of fluids using self-assembled petal-like iron oxide particles
Using self-assembled iron oxide (SAIO) particles with petal-like morphology, aqueous fluids containing magnetic particles were prepared and the effect of hierarchical particle surface on the viscoelasticity under magnetic was investigated. The fluids consisting of self-assembled iron oxide particles exhibit highly tunable viscoelasticity which is controlled by applying external magnetic field. A difference between SAIO particles and spherical particles is explained by the fact that surface features of the self-assembled particles increased the network strength between particles in the fluids. © 2010 American Institute of Physics

Electroweak phase transition in a nonminimal supersymmetric model
The Higgs potential of the minimal nonminimal supersymmetric standard model
(MNMSSM) is investigated within the context of electroweak phase transition. We
investigate the allowed parameter space yielding correct electroweak phase
transitoin employing a high temperature approximation. We devote to
phenomenological consequences for the Higgs sector of the MNMSSM for
electron-positron colliders. It is observed that a future linear
collider with GeV will be able to test the model with regard
to electroweak baryogenesis.Comment: 28 pages, 5 tables, 12 figure
The Dropping of In-Medium Hadron Mass in Holographic QCD
We study the baryon density dependence of the vector meson spectrum using the
D4/D6 system together with the compact D4 baryon vertex. We find that the
vector meson mass decreases almost linearly in density at low density for small
quark mass, but saturates to a finite non-zero value for large density. We also
compute the density dependence of the mass and the
velocity. We find that in medium, our model is consistent with the GMOR
relation up to a few times the normal nuclear density. We compare our hQCD
predictions with predictions made based on hidden local gauge theory that is
constructed to model QCD.Comment: 20 pages, 7 figure
Scalar-isoscalar excitation in dense quark matter
We study the spectrum of scalar-isoscalar excitations in the color-flavor
locked phase of dense quark matter. The sigma meson in this phase appears as a
four-quark state (of diquark and anti-diquark) with a well-defined mass and
extremely small width, as a consequence of it's small coupling to two pions.
The quark particle/hole degrees of freedom also contribute significantly to the
correlator just above the threshold 2\Delta where \Delta is the superconducting
gap.Comment: RevTeX, 11 pages, 4 fig
A note on conductivity and charge diffusion in holographic flavour systems
We analyze the charge diffusion and conductivity in a Dp/Dq holographic setup
that is dual to a supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory in p+1 dimensions with N_f<<
N_c flavour degrees of freedom at finite temperature and nonvanishing U(1)
baryon number chemical potential. We provide a new derivation of the results
that generalize the membrane paradigm to the present context. We perform a
numerical analysis in the particular case of the D3/D7 flavor system. The
results obtained support the validity of the Einstein relation at finite
chemical potential.Comment: 15 pages, 3 figures, v2 with minor correction
Parton picture for the strongly coupled SYM plasma
Deep inelastic scattering off the strongly coupled N=4 supersymmetric
Yang-Mills plasma at finite temperature can be computed within the AdS/CFT
correspondence, with results which are suggestive of a parton picture for the
plasma. Via successive branchings, essentially all partons cascade down to very
small values of the longitudinal momentum fraction x and to transverse momenta
smaller than the saturation momentum Q_s\sim T/x. This scale Q_s controls the
plasma interactions with a hard probe, in particular, the jet energy loss and
its transverse momentum broadening.Comment: 4 pages, Talk given at Quark Matter 2008: 20th International

Fluctuation modes in color-superconductors
We investigate fluctuation effects of a gap parameter in
color-superconductors. The fluctuation modes in the super phase are described
by two scalar fields of diquarks. One of them is a Nambu-Goldstone boson and
the other is a diquark boson whose mass is about twice of the gap energy (an
extended quasi-supersymmetry). In the normal phase the fluctuation becomes a
precursory (soft) mode whose amplitude increases near the critical temperature.Comment: 6 page
