Geotechnical properties of fiber reinforced pond ash
In the recent past huge amount of Fly ash and Pond ash are generated by the thermal power plants. It is a major cause of concern for the people living around the power
plants. The current rate of deposition of Pond ash in India has reached 170 million tons per annum. About 90,000 acres of precious land is used for the storage of abandoned
Pond ash. But current rate of utilization of ash is only about 35-40%.The unused ash leads to an ever increasing ponding area for storing ash and related environmental
issues for the people around the power plants.
Besides this, over the last few years, the construction of highways and roads has taken a boost. This requires a huge amount of natural soil and aggregates to excavated or to
be deposited. Again this is an environmental issue and economical too. These are some issues now-a-days which motivates in development of alternative methods to overcome
those environmental and also the economic issues. This leads to the reuse of suitable industrial byproducts which can fix those issues and also fulfill the specifications. Pond ash is one such byproduct. It is a non-plastic and lightweight material. During this work, the effect of moisture content, degree of compaction, synthetic fiber
as a reinforcement etc. on various geotechnical properties of pond ash are studied. A series of tests such as direct shear test, CBR test, light compaction as well as heavy
compaction test, Unconfined compression test are done to estimate the strength characteristics of compacted pond ash using synthetic fiber as a reinforcement as well as
tests like specific gravity test, grain size distribution test by mechanical sieve analysis and hydrometer test etc. are performed to obtain some physical properties of the pond
ash. These results will be very much helpful for the successful application of pond ash in different fields such as embankment construction, road base and sub-base construction, designing of retaining walls etc. as well as the disposal of pond ash in an ecofriendly manner

Study of the expression profile of the UGT1A1 gene in neonatal jaundice patients
Diseases are either caused due to a genetic defect or physiological defects, however certain pathological disorders such as neonatal jaundice is a product of intereliant working of both these causal factors. The disease is characterized by hyperbillirubinemia and subsequent yellowing of the skin of the patient. The etiological causes are more related to the genetic and epigenetic factors i.e. the genes that are responsible in controlling the enzymes that play an important role in carrying out the processes of bilirubin excretion and the epigenetic modifications that regulate the transcriptional activity of those genes. The expression of the gene gets affected by either due to a mutation in the gene or due to a epigenetic change. One of the prominent enzymes responsible is UGT1A1 and lowering of its activity is a major factor contributing to this disease. Keeping this view in mind, the present study was carried out to study the expression profile of the UGT1A1 gene in neonatal jaundice patients and correlate it with epigenetic studies.
The project aims to find a definitive epigenetic cause directing the UGT1A1 dysregulation in neonatal jaundice so as to fully understand the disease. Further studies in this aspect will present avenues for drug development based on the mechanistic details of this enzym
Penyelesaian Wicara melalui Peradilan oleh Majelis UTAMA Desa Pakraman (Mudp) Provinsi Bali
This study aim to describe and analyze in debt about the basic authority in resolving Main Assembly of Pakraman Village or Majelis Utama Desa Pakraman (MUDP) Bali Province speech by justice and how to talk through the judicial settlement process by MUDP Bali Province. This research used normative legal research based legal document research and library research. The conclusion in this study, that authority obtained MUDP Bali to finish the speech obtained a mandate by Council Decision No. 050 Main Pakraman / Kep / Psm-1 / MDP Bali / III / 2006 concerning the results of the Great Pasamuhan I MDP Bali and Completion of speech through the courts by MUDP Bali has been arranged by the Decision of the MDP Bali Number: 002 / Skep / MDP Bali / IX / 2011 on the Implementation Guidelines and Technical Guidelines Speech by Assembly Resolution Pakraman (MDP) Bali as a form of autonomy that is owned by Pakraman
A Study Of Orbital Fractures In A Tertiary Health Care Center
A retrospective study of patients with orbital fractures had 48% patients in the age group of 20 – 40 years with male : female ratio of 10:1. Road traffic accidents (71.43%) were the most common cause followed by injury due to fall (20%). Eighty five percent of patients had normal visual acuity at presentation and 65.57% patients had no ocular complaints. Diplopia was present in 14.2% of patients. Of the orbital fractures infraorbital rim was involved in 43.13%, floor in 19.6%, lateral wall in 13.7%, pure blow out in 14.28% and the roof in 2.9%. Important ocular findings were extraocular movements restriction in 9 (10.3%), infraorbital dysaesthesia in 3 (3.4%), enophthalmos in 2, RAPD and globe rupture in 1 patient each. 32 patients underwent surgical management. At the end of 4 months of follow up, 3 had restriction of EOM, 1 patient had vision loss due to globe rupture, 2 had RAPD (optic nerve compression), 1 had lagophthalmos, 1 had exotropia and 1 had atrophic bulbi
Pembuatan Media Pembelajaran Dasar Bahasa Korea Menggunakan AndEngine Berbasis Android
. Korean has now become one foreign language preferred by the Indonesians to learn. This is the impact of the entry of Hallyu (Korean Wave) in Indonesia. However, existing Korean language learning media are less not interactive because there are limited facilities such as books when compared with mobile application that has attractive design and audio facility. Based on the problem, a basic Korean language learning applications using AndEngine on Android platform is developed. This application uses AndEngine library and uses an accelerometer extension that belongs to AndEngine. With this application, users can learn Korean letters and how to read it in a more interesting method because there is a mini game in this application

Investigating subtypes of reward processing deficits as trait markers for depression
Background: Anhedonia, the loss of pleasure in usually enjoyable activities, is a central feature of major depressive disorder (MDD). The aim of the present study was to examine whether young people at a familial risk of depression display signs of anticipatory, motivational or consummatory anhedonia, which would indicate that these deficits may be trait markers for MDD.
Methods: The study was completed by 22 participants with a family history of depression (FH+) and 21 controls (HC). Anticipatory anhedonia was assessed by asking participants to rate their anticipated liking of pleasant and unpleasant foods which they imagined tasting when cued with images of the foods. Motivational anhedonia was measured by requiring participants to perform key presses to obtain pleasant chocolate taste rewards or to avoid unpleasant apple tastes. Additionally, physical consummatory anhedonia was examined by instructing participants to rate the pleasantness of the acquired tastes. Moreover, social consummatory anhedonia was investigated by asking participants to make preference-based choices between neutral facial expressions, genuine smiles, and polite smiles.
Results: It was found that the FH+ group’s anticipated liking of unpleasant foods was significantly lower than that of the control group. By contrast, no group differences in the pleasantness ratings of the actually experienced tastes or in the amount of performed key presses were observed. However, controls preferred genuine smiles over neutral expressions more often than they preferred polite smiles over neutral expressions, while this pattern was not seen in the FH+ group.
Conclusion: These findings suggest that FH+ individuals demonstrate an altered anticipatory response to negative stimuli and show signs of social consummatory anhedonia, which may be trait markers for depression
