    Educational strategy for the formation of psychological contents in the pedagogical process of Medical students

    Background: it is necessary to encourage the formation of psychological contents in the pedagogical process that contribute to the development of the Medical students´ personality. Objective: to develop an educational strategy for the formation of psychological contents in the pedagogical process of Medical students in the Faculty of Medical Sciences "Mariana Grajales Coello" from the University of Medical Sciences of Holguín. Methods: a development research was carried out, as declared in the objective, from January to November 2022. The characteristics of the professional model and the pedagogical process of Medical students were taken into account, according to the different forms of teaching organization. Results: some hindrances were identified in the formation of psychological contents in the pedagogical process of Medical students, from which the educational strategy was developed. The strategy is composed by four interrelated stages: characterization of the formation of psychological contents in the pedagogical process of Medical students, actions organization, actions implementation and assessment. It has an interdisciplinary, multidimensional, active-participatory, contextual and cross-sectional nature. Conclusions: a feasible educational strategy for the formation of psychological contents in the pedagogical process of Medical students was developed

    Efectividad del procedimiento para la formación del proyecto de vida profesional en estudiantes de Medicina

    Fundamento: el proyecto de vida profesional constituye una formación psicológica compleja que debe ser desarrollada y evaluada durante las acciones que se realizan en los procesos sustantivos universitarios: formación, investigación y extensión universitaria. Objetivo: validar la efectividad del procedimiento para la formación del proyecto de vida profesional en estudiantes de Medicina. Métodos: se realizó una investigación cuantitativa de tipo preexperimental en la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Holguín, Facultad de Ciencias Médicas Mariana Grajales Coello, desde enero de 2021 hasta diciembre del 2022. Se utilizaron como métodos teóricos el analítico sintético, inductivo-deductivo y la modelación. Los métodos empíricos aplicados fueron el cuestionario a expertos, la observación y el instrumento “Exploración del proyecto de vida profesional”. La investigación se llevó a efecto en tres etapas para la presentación, la valoración y la evaluación del procedimiento.Resultados: se aportó un procedimiento para la formación del proyecto de vida profesional en estudiantes de la carrera Medicina a implementarse durante los procesos sustantivos universitarios. El criterio de expertos permitió evaluar el procedimiento como bastante adecuado. El preexperimento mostró su efectividad para alcanzar el objetivo.Conclusiones: existen insuficiencias en el tratamiento del proyecto de vida profesional durante la formación inicial. La validación del procedimiento fue aceptada por los expertos porque contribuye a la calidad del proceso pedagógico en la carrera Medicina.</p

    Peculiarities of the project of professional life in students of medicine

    Background: the project of professional life is a category of the personality that defines the goals and aspirations of the individual in the work context.Objective: to characterize the peculiarities of the project of professional life in students of medicine.Methods: a descriptive study was carried out at the "Mariana Grajales Coello” Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Medical Sciences of Holguín, from January through December of 2018. The sample was selected through a non-probabilistic sampling and was made up of 224 students, 65 graduates, 24 executives and 89 professors. For the development of the scientific tasks, different theoretical and empirical methods were combined. For processing the information descriptive statistics was used by means of percentage analysis.Results: the majority of the students (84,4 %) and graduates (89,2 %) approach the conceptualization about the professional life project, assure that it is necessary to have it prepared and recognize that in the medicine major actions are carried out to guide them. Both state as difficulties the lack of interest and motivation of the students and graduates. The students have difficulties in the content and structure of the professional life project. The teachers lack training to deal with the problem.Conclusions: inadequacies in the formation of the professional life project were identified. It is necessary that the professors of medicine work on the subject.</p
